The KY game last year was the first big red flag. Not necessarily that we lost but all the penalties and the Twitter trash talk before the game. That stuff is reflective of a culture problem where players are not held accountable and they don't respect the coach. That's bad stuff once it takes root.

But I totally jumped off the band wagon after K-State this year. Up until then, there were enough excuses that you could justify it if you wanted to.

I knew after the Florida game. I was extremely concerned after losing to UK, but the total lack of self awareness on Joe's part in the loss to Dan Mullen's very mediocre Gator team told me all I needed to know. What I witnessed in Tampa against Iowa drove the point home like a sledge hammer. I knew then that we were screwed and that Moorhead was a disaster

It was 3 strikes for me:

1) Florida last year
2) K-State
3) UT

There were other games were concerns were exposed, but the 3 above were all games we should have won.

Kentucky game without a doubt. No excuse for that team to lose to Kentucky. Losing in embarrassing fashion like that was football malpractice.

Warning signs were there since last year. The last straw with me was Auburn. Tenn pushed me over the edge.

Losing to Florida in 2018

He gets one more year. This year is a **** show, but he gets one more year regardless. He will get his chance to prove us all wrong.

But I knew he was bust at Kentucky last year. It was a gritty old-school football game. It was raining and instead of putting it the ground and playing old-school football he was calling passing plays. I remember thinking to myself, "what the 17 is this ****?", "who calls all these passes when it is raining buckets?"

That is the type of game that should go hands down to a team with a solid run game and a good defense? I allowed myself to fooled by the Auburn win, but after Kentucky I knew...

When did you know?

He could go undefeated for 10 years straight and win the natty every year, but I would STILL never forgive him for losing to Florida last year. I'm sure Merlinz is still laughing about that one. It was personal, both for the program, and for me individually because my wife is from Florida and is a Gator fan. She doesn't rub it in, but I sat on my screen porch after that game last year and got blind running drunk. It was personal . . . . and still is.
