Not sure why our fanbase feels the need to post negative stuff about it's players. You may be right, but not sure it needs to be said.
Same losers hate Wheeler, Cal and last year Allen. They have to have their whipping boy.

No attacks on players or coaches.
Criticism is allowed, and encouraged if the shoe fits. But that does
NOT mean you have free range to bash or alienate a player or coach with
your comments. If you disagree with how they played or the effort they
put forward, please voice your opinion and state why you hold that
opinion. If it's something you would not say to their faces, then don't
post it.

He’s right ya know
Yep. Nothing wrong with realizing it, either. Wallace is better on both ends & you’d have to sit him or Reeves to make room for Wheeler. I’ve said it all summer, but, we’d be best served with Wheeler coming off the bench as an energy guy. He does some good things & he’s not a BAD player. But, Wallace & our wings are just better players, with fewer limitations & offer much more on both ends. Some fans would sacrifice having the best team possible on the floor in order to spare certain players’ feelings, though.

It might take a minute for Wheeler to figure out his role on a team surrounded by this much talent, but having more weapons creates more opportunities to distribute, and when Wheeler figures out all the possibilities, he’s gonna be fine.

He just needs to learn to play within himself. Every second he has the ball he has too big of a chip on his shoulder and tries to push and be a player that he's not currently capable of being. He tries to play with Ulis's speed and grit while having a bulkier body type and without having Ulis's speed and grit. Slow it down literally just 10%, play with more bully ball, and embrace contact instead of letting contact control you.

Not to mention what is best to surround the returning NPOY.

Wallace will play a ton and Wheeler will play a ton. The key is having the best 5 in at the end of a close game. Wallace isn't a wimp and will demand the ball from Wheeler though. He isnt like some from last years team.

I'm OK with him if he:

-ONLY shoots open layups. NO 3 pt shots, especially on a Fast break!!!!

-And NO STUPID PASSES!!!

Other than that he is sufficient.

Wheeler definitely has to relax on the care less play.

But at this point he is what he is . It’s probably not changing .

Really? First meaningless preseason game which is nothing but an individual show case and we have someone taking a dump on Wheeler? Against a team that actually plays defense and we have to execute offensively as a team, this will be far different in terms of Wheelers value.

Agree. Hde can't shoot and screws up the spacing as a result. The only time we might need him is to give Wallace a rest and against the press if it's giving us trouble as it did at times tonight. I was really impressed with Wallace, Collins, Thiero and Livingston. UK allowed way too many easy put backs by not getting to loose balls, but that is easily corrected and I think it will be. I think we are a much better team with SW off the court - period.

Wheeler has got to just play his game and stop trying to force it.

Not once did we look at Cason tonight and go, “That looked really forced.”

Wheeler needs to go with the flow and play smart. Hit a few open shots. Will be a huge asset if he does.
