They're not my analytics. You can find the numbers at College Basketball Reference website. What your analytics don’t ell you is what Crean May have been telling him about how he should play his game. Maybe he told to shoot that much because much of their line up sucked and the coach decided he had a better chance of scoring than anyone else. Also comparing Brandon’s analytics to Wheeler considering the personnel each played with is disingenuous at best. It is a fact the kid led the SEC in assists playing for the second worst team in the league, that not your dubious analytics makes me excited that he will be playing for us.
The reference to Brandon was about FGA which is not really analytics (FG efficiency and OffRating are examples).
I addressed the argument that Wheeler played on a bad team by posting Georgia's team numbers which are collectively better than Wheeler's ratings...and by posting Wheeler's "win shares per 40 min" which which ranked 8th on his team. I suppose you could argue Wheeler made everyone else better at the expense of himself.
I do agree with you we don't know how Crean asked him to play, I suspect he shot 13 times a game because opponents let him shoot or he simply dominated the ball. Idk
Hope he is a good backup for UK because I prefer the perimeter guys to be Washington/MIntz/Grady, or Washington/Frederick/Grady or Washington/Allen/Grady. But I think we all suspect Cal is going to start Wheeler and he plays 30 mpg which means less time Washington or the "shooters" - Allen and Frederick.
Regards
