I was there and I can’t remember seeing a game like that. Early on my brother was saying “let’s go to the vine…we did not come to play”. When we went up 17 in the second half he said “let’s go to the Vine to celebrate”. Crazy stuff.
The refs were SO inconsistent. The beginning of the second half was a joke. All I can say is we got the W and Ben has plenty of stuff for the guys to work on. Also, SC has talent… a real good coach and they could be super dangerous. Hope they knock off some teams down the stretch.
Did you goto the Vine?

What Isaiah Moss did Wednesday night wasn't national news because Iowa lost 86-82 at Minnesota, the two teams are going nowhere, and the Winter Olympics are happening.

It's mostly the part about the two teams going nowhere.

But scoring 19 points in 96 seconds? That's what Hawkeye sophomore guard Isaiah Moss did at the end of Wednesday night's Big Ten men's basketball game at Minnesota's Williams Arena.

That was different. Although, the Indiana Pacers' Reggie Miller did score eight points in nine seconds against the New York Knicks in a 1995 NBA playoff game of lore.

Anyway, here's how Moss became a rolling stone late in Wednesday's game:

1:36 left:

Made a jumper, was fouled, made a free throw.

1:11:

Made a jumper.

:54:

Made a 3-pointer.

:48:

Made a 3-pointer.

:35:

Made a jumper. That's eight points in 19 seconds, which is in Mr. Reggie's Neighborhood.

:30:

Made one of two free throws. He could have had 17 points in 71 seconds.

:26:

Missed a 3-pointer. How did he find the time to miss a shot?

:19:

Missed a 3-pointer. No, Moss wasn't on the court all by himself.

:15:

Luka Garza made a layup, got fouled, and made a free throw. Yes, someone else on the Hawkeyes scored in this stretch.

:08:

Made two free throws.

:03:

Made a 3-pointer.

Iowa trailed 74-60 before Moss's 3-point play with 1:36 to go. From then on, the Hawkeyes did a great job of fouling Gophers immediately after scoring. Moss pretty much did the rest. He had 26 second-half points, and a career-high 32.

The Hawkeyes scored 63 points in the second half after being held to 19 before that. But they still lost for the sixth-straight game. Had Moss' explosion happened in a marquee game, he would be a household name today.

By the way, Iowa's Justin Johnson made six 3-pointers in the last 1:56 of a game against Indiana in 2008. The last one was a bomb of a bank shot. The Hawkeyes lost that game, too.

Justin Johnson scores 19 points in 1:56...
