You picking Owen over Hendersonville? Just asking. Also, why would they take Owen light? Especially since they have won games this year?Heritage by 28
Polk by 14
Hendo better not take owen light , owen has better line play. Here is my prediction owen will pull upset in conf this year .
Hendersonville is the favorite, but owen could give them problems. You picking Owen over Hendersonville? Just asking. Also, why would they take Owen light? Especially since they have won games this year?
Every team has a shot. That's why they play. Mitchell had a shot vs Hendersonville and that ain't go well. Owen had a shot vs Mitchell and that ain't go well. That's the game.Yes, but owen has shot
Good assessment. This time of year, the top teams should be separating themselves. I would be shocked if Avery scores that muchAvery @ Mountain Heritage- Mountain Heritage 51-27. Heading into week 8, the Cougars appear to be hitting their stride and the Vikings appear to be heading towards a brick wall called "Reality." I actually expect Avery to move the ball and score some points this game. The Mountain Heritage defense hasn’t proven to be elite, the Avery offense is mostly competent and there will be some scores in garbage time. The Cougars offense will most likely put this out of reach with early scores, similar to the Polk game, and then ease off in the 2nd half. Expect some scoring, but no big surprises here.
Owen @ Hendersonville- Hendersonville 35-14. Owen has been plagued with inconsistent play all year. They will have moments where they appear to have it figured out, and then they have moments of hoping Kenny Ford comes out of retirement. The offense has showed life, the defense has showed life, but neither have been shown for extended periods of time. The Bearcats come in as the current WHC favorite and should be expected to take care of business at home. Expect them to come out slinging the ball around and to simply be too much for Owen to handle purely from an offensive standpoint. If you can’t keep Mitchell/Polk for combining for roughly 30 a game against you, you’re going to have a difficult time stopping the most explosive offense in the conference. Bearcats roll.
Madison @ Polk- Polk 34-21. In a weird way, this may be the best game of the week in the WHC. This matchup features two teams whose seasons have not went how they had hoped. Potentially how they expected, but not how they had hoped. Stats indicate that this is the two worst teams in the conference, so they are battling for the honor of not being last place. Polk appears to have things a little more figured out on the offensive side of the ball, but neither one have shown the ability to stop a nose bleed on defense. Expect some scoring from both sides, each team to play hard as they see an opportunity for a win, and for the Wolverines to come out on top.
Mitchell- Bye. The Mountaineers are off this week and are currently sitting as the #3 team in conference. However, that will potentially change soon as their hated rivals come into town next Friday. All teams probably wish they had a bye heading into rivalry week, so expect the purple to come out next Friday rested and prepared.

You really are butt hurt about losing to Hendersonville lol. Every team has injuries at this point. That's football. The game is over....let it go haha.Good picks , owen game might be closer
Yes , it hurts when you know your team would have beat them without the injuries. You really are butt hurt about losing to Hendersonville lol. Every team has injuries at this point. That's football. The game is over....let it go haha.
Maxpreps stats show 14 of Hendersonville's 30 touchdowns this year have been scored by Jordan Buford, starting running back/linebacker for Hendersonville, who was injured and did not play against Mitchell.Yes , it hurts when you know your team would have beat them without the injuries.
Anyone that knows football. Will tell you qb is most important position seriously take ward off hendo see how good their offense is , take heritage qb off. Mitchell riddle was main man running and passing.. your argument is laughableMaxpreps stats show 14 of Hendersonville's 30 touchdowns this year have been scored by Jordan Buford, starting running back/linebacker for Hendersonville, who was injured and did not play against Mitchell.
Possibly next to Ward, the guy they'd hate to do without. Everyone has injuries even Hendersonville.
No argument here. Qb is the most important position and Hendersonville would be in deep trouble without Ward. Just stating Hendersonville was also without a key performer against Mitchell. Mitchell did have 305 yds rushing that night, best this season. Again Maxpreps stats.Anyone that knows football. So vaunted that they scored a whopping 7 points against Hendersonville without one of their best playersSame! I love when we play at Mitchell! Other than walking up that God forsaken road up to that huge purple turd
can’t wait to see the vaunted Mitchell line in action. I’ve heard so much about them.
You know heritage has beat mitchell 3 straight years, could it end this season. I like our chances,Same! I love when we play at Mitchell! Other than walking up that God forsaken road up to that huge purple turd

I definitely think Mitchell is favored and probably rightly so. But I do expect it to be a good game. I like so many of those kids there and know they want it badly. At the end of the day, I hope we can pull it out but mostly hope everyone leaves the game healthy. You know heritage has beat mitchell 3 straight years, could it end this season. I like our chances,
