I think Owen-Heritage matchup well against each other. If it’s a clean game as far as turnovers and penalties it should be a war. If one team has problems with turnovers and penalties it could be a blowout but shouldn’t be. Should also be a short game with very little passing. If Owen can pull it out it would be a 3 way tie for 2nd place in the WHC

Mitchell @ Avery- 42-7 Mitchell. Does anyone remember when Avery was 3-2 and looking like they kind of knew what football was? Those were the days. Following 4 straight losses, none of them particularly close, the Vikings have settled into typical Avery land. Coming off a 21 point loss to a bad Polk team, there is little reason to expect anything of substance out of Avery this game. Mitchell should roll into Newland and win this game with limited issues. Even if Mitchell is slow out of the gate offensively, nothing indicates Avery will be able to move the ball on probably the best defense in the conference.

Mountain Heritage @ Owen- 37-21 Mountain Heritage. Mountain Heritage comes into this game following a 48-44 loss to Hendersonville in which they truly forgot what the word "defense" meant. Fortunately for the Cougars, Owen is not Hendersonville. The Warhorses come into this game at 5-4 and have followed a predictable pattern of losing to good teams and beating bad teams. With a 21 point loss to Mitchell and a 32 point loss to Hendersonville under their belt, the numbers indicate that Heritage should win this game by at least a couple scores. I'll give Owen a little better showing being at home and most likely will play tough out of the gate, but it would still be a sizable upset if they were able to pull it out in Swannanoa on Friday.

Polk @ Hendersonville- 56-21 Hendersonville. There is no reason to expect this game to be competitive. The best offense in the conference is meeting not the worst, but one of the worse defenses in the conference. Polk comes into this game allowing 33 PPG on defense and that number will only go up Friday. Hendersonville's defense just proved that their own defense is not elite however as it gave up 44 to the Cougars, so expect Polk to score a few meaningless TD's. The real question is how many points will the Bearcats score. They will continue to throw the ball as long as Polk is scoring, but if the Wolverines are not scoring, expect them to run the clock out for the majority of the 2nd half and that point total may not creep up as high as one might expect. Barring a complete and total collapse from the Bearcats, they will be undefeated conference champions at the end of the night.

Madison- Bye. Expect a hard fought competitive battle from both sides, but in the end, Madison will probably not lose this week.

Nah. That’s what he should pick based on what’s happened through the year. I hope we make a better showing than that though. I believe we can. We will have to see. Besides that you can just call me by name considering I’m the only Owen poster on here

Lol not only are yall biased but yall are ignorant. See unlike yall, I post in a lot of threads in regards to WNC....I don’t have to have a team to talk about a team. Like I told yall, yall talk about what Hendersonville so much...yall are like jealous ex girlfriends. In the WHC, all year long, yall have said what they couldn't and wouldn't do. That's stupid. Excuse me for going against stupidity.

Nah man it was obvious from the start Hendo would win the league. They are senior heavy though so maybe next year will be different. Looks like their JV is undefeated though, and winning every game comfortably.

I think football giant might just be coach Ward. After listening to his interview on behind the beard. They sound very similar with the things said
I have no idea what this guy is talking about half the time lol you tell him something he said don't make sense he'll say "y'all are just jealous of hendo" it's really baffling lol

OR common sense is just common sense. You guys just have WHC blinders on. It's not a hard concept.

I'm definitely not that guy. With the way you know it alls talk in these threads, I wouldn't dare be a coach.

Hendo will blow Polk out
Mitchell by 30+
Heritage at Owen feels like a trap game to me

I fear the emotion of losing to Hendo and thus losing the conference championship will take the wind out of the sails. I think it’s a dog fight at Owen tonight. I don’t like my gut feeling.
