Thoughts? I figure it’s probably Mitchell and Hendo top 2 then everyone else. Seems like Heritage lost a lot. Owen lost a couple playmakers but return most of the team. Madison graduated a lot of production but seem to be getting better like Owen. Avery just seems terrible. What about Polk?

I figure that Hendo is the favorite. Mitchell should be pretty good. Heritage is still gonna be good enough for 3rd just based off tradition and coaching. Next I would put Owen and Polk. Probably a toss up to me. Polk did lose their Rb which was their whole O. So let’s go Owen. Then Polk. Madison. And then Avery. Who I agree is probably gonna struggle.
Going with mitchell as favorite will be very strong on the line. Hendo will need replace their line. Heritage will be solid, owen is my dark horse everyone back they could finish top 3. Madison has good coaching staff now , year away. Polk numbers are up , still rebuilding. Avery has lot kids back , could finish little higher

Could be wrong but I expect Heritage to be average this year after losing their big play maker 24, Mitchell returns a lot and it should be between them and Hendo for the conference title.

Pretty loaded schedule for a team that lost a bit to graduation, 6-4 is kinda what I expect, but then again last years team exceeded my expectations minus the Swain game so hopefully I'm wrong and we can make it 4 straight conference titles lol. I might be sandbagging a little cause I do really like our QB and rb we have returning lol.

That first game will tell lot about heritage. Pisgah same boat as heritage probably worst they lost lot last year.
Been hearing positive things from the coaches we might be in the mix with hendo and mitchell, it'd be cool to see a three-way tie like the old days of the WHC.

Honestly all of are non conference will be tough but there's not one I think is unwinnable, same thing goes for Mitchell and Hendo in conference, I've gained a little confidence in Heritage after talking to coaches over the weekend.

One thing I've learned is to never count out Heritage. But this year will be somewhat of a statement year for the new coach.
Mitchell county went to football camp 10 teams their finish 2nd overall, east Lincoln finish 1, watauga finish3 ,Mitchell will have passing attack this year, riddle look great he has got bigger and lot stronger, he will be load to tackle. Mitchell line is very strong across the front , probably will start 8 or 9 seniors. That first game will be test , charlotte Latin very strong program. If the injury bug doesn't hit mitchell this season I see great season.

Could be right about Mitchell and I wish nothing but the best for all WHC teams but from what I'm hearing Heritage will be no slouch either.
Yes they will, swain has been very good on jv last couple years. They have some good linemen coming back , also have outstanding coach.
Heritage will be fine this season. Cougars surprise me, that Jones kid was real deal. They should have beat Lincolnton
Maybe, but are secondary for what it was last year would have got torn apart by Shelby if we did get passed Lincolnton, I'm hoping are big turnover on defense will lead to a better secondary this year.

Wonder if heritage going run 3 -5 defense, looking at their personal they have lot linemen. You better have 3 good d linemen, or you will get eat up.
