Because, as I have been saying for a long time, he is a "Democrat". What is governing now are NOT "Democrats". They are something else.
He is old school liberal/Democrat. Disagree with him on many issues but he's not so far left we can't find common ground

And the party in the power being run by the loons are doing what they’re doing because Trump’s a Nazi and a dictator. What is running the country right now is exactly what we said it was. Cool, Bill Maher is finally waking up to the fact he’s saddled up with lunatics. Bet he still votes blue no matter who, though, cuz derp derp, Trump.
He's a Classic Liberal. I don't like him or agree with hardly any of his solutions. However I have given him credit on calling alot of this stuff out the last few years. He is recognizing many of the things I have said. It's shouldn't be that hard at this point. It's got pretty obvious that there is a Color Revolution taking place in our Country. Unfortunately alot of Democrats are part of it. Even worse there are alot Republicans who aren't doing enough to put a stop to it.
The something else they are is Anarchist. The CCP, Cartels, Iran, Russia, Jihadist, and Anti-American Turds are all working together to destroy this Country and they love themselves some useful idiots. Many are still trying to have 1980's and 1990's academic political debate. Those days are over.
There is some truth to this. A lot of Democrats out there who never signed up for today's crazy agenda but the problem they have is unless they are like Maher and speaking out against it they look complicit
The Democrats in Office all vote for this ****. I have posted their voting records numerous times. The Democrat Party of JFK is long gone. **** they try to destroy any Democrat who does occasionally take a moderate stance on something. They are the Party of Socialism an Anti-American agenda now. I would recommend any of them that actually want to preserve the United States to go form a different Party because they are not getting the old one back.
Yes. That is the long form version of what I said. When I say a lot of Democrats don't stand for this I am not referring to those in office. There are actually registered Dems out there who are not in office and don't back this ****. Like I said.
Convince them to switch parties or start a new one. Because the one they keep voting for hates America and wants to destroy it. If they think **** was unfair before wait until they are no longer needed.
Hard to convince people they are wrong when they don't want to believe they are wrong but the crazy lefties make it easier.
I agree it is hard. Especially since they have had control of the Educational System for so long.
And voting against it, is the most important. I don’t care if they speak out against it. If they still vote for it, it doesn’t really matter.
Maher, for all his talk, usually makes sure to have a qualifier in there that despite the lunacy, it’s still better than a Trump alternative. Which is lunacy.
I got a Portuguese guy here in NJ to switch over . To be honest most of them vote Democrat because when they was running from socialism and come here they was told to . The guy I'm talking about is first generation come here in the mid '70's as a child .
