We all know it takes time for bigs to develop. The problem now is Duke, due to the injury, can't go full speed in practice against Myles/Shaq/Shaq-2 to further develop his game. Personally, I would love for Duke to stay the course and be a RS soph next year. I watched Duke prior to the CC open practice and he was effectively shooting 3's and post up jumpers so he has that ability. I think enhancing Duke's BB IQ will make him valuable as another piece to challenge for BIG minutes.

Nice touch? What was his shooting % on those outside shots? I think the coaching staff might disagree with your assessment since they immediately yanked him from 2 games this year after putting his "nice touch" on display. But hey, what do the coaches know.
They also put him in in the first place, but hey, what do they know. Might not have shot well, but he does have nice touch.

Just my opinion: He’s been very supportive of his teammates and seems enthused during games. I get the sense he ll get the redshirt and be back next year. Coach Knight said he’s been tough as hell during practice of course before he got hurt.

Except that he’s not really injured, I suspect. Probably need to fake it for he redshirt. Look at how he jumps off he bench when good things happen on the court...back doesn’t seem to be an issue
