What's the mandate?

As we approach primary season in many States for races to see which candidates carry the party messages into the Fall, I'd like for any of you Leftists loyalists to tell me what the Democrat party's mandate will be as these races are contested and settled? What will be the top two or three legislative items voters will be asking of Democrats should they send a Democrat representative to Congress in the Fall?

Trump certainly has his agenda...and a record to run on. So what will be the Democrat alternatives to his legislative priorities or the Democrat solutions to improve on Trump's weak performance? Without an overriding agenda, I don't see a Big Blue Wave coming, and without Democrat opposition in the form of a viable legislative agenda, I don't see Trump's agenda getting derailed. I know Democrats are anti-Trump...but what else are they for?

Anyone on the loyal lunatic Left committed enough to answer this with some truthful & specific policy proposals?

I imagine most Democrats will run on the party’s economic message of attacking corporate expansion (anti-trust).

Curtailing prices in big pharm.

Reestablishing (some) environmental regulations and recommitting to the international effort to combat climate change.

Implementing policies (tax incentives, debt repayment programs, etc..) that make college tuition either more affordable or at least eliminate substantial debt for future graduates.

These would be some of the key differences that run in contrast to the GOP platform, I’d think.

If anyone knew ( Left or Right) the answer to your question they would have no problem deternining what Candidate to cast their vote for. OBTW, I am not a person who votes party lines -- there are many of us here that follow that premise and vote for whom we think will be best for the country.

To the Leftists posting in this thread. "Wave elections" (which this year we're told is coming) are usally won on one or two big ideas that sweep an entire party into power.

In '94 it was the "Contract with America" . In 2010 it was opposition to Obama care. This year the media claims its anti Trump, but the Democrats must also be for something.

Despite the issues mentioned here in response, they are not on everyone's radar. The tax cuts could be it, but Dems already voted against them in unison. So Democrats better develop one quickly or it might be too late.

I’m sure Democrats everywhere are grateful for your concern

It's not my fault they have no agenda but it is funny how no one else does either.

"Big Blue Wave"...no agenda.[pfftt]
Maybe someone is working on that “fit on a hat” campaign rhetoric that wins elections. “Lock her up”, “build the wall”......might be that “resist trump” is enough in many districts. Maybe not.

I sell cars. I can trash my competitors all day long (sometimes do) but unless I can sell my own features and benefits to my customers, they have no reason to buy my product.

Democrats can trash Trump all day (they do) but without an effective and viable policy agenda to counter his, that "Big Blue Wave" media sycophants are promising will be nothing more than a ripple on a calm clear lake.

So if you're on the Left what would you say would be the main reason to resist Trump?
