A lot of insane action going on right now. Could be as high as 12.

Should be higher than Texas, Mizzou, Miss St and Alabama. About to see how bad the SEC bias really is.

Honestly.... They'll leave them at 17 and tell us that we are lucky they didn't drop in the rankings.

They won't drop the mighty SEC teams like Alabama and Missouri below Iowa after losing to ranked mighty SEC teams on the road.

They won't drop Texas that far.... Cause SEC stuff

Miss St will just swap spots with LSU, so LSU will jump us, cause SEC...

Yeah, Iowa's schedule to this point is ranked ~25-30 by most services I've seen. And the problem is that they don't have a whole lot left on the schedule to boost that, so it will likely gradually drop. Iowa is in an unusual situation, in that they don't have any B1G gimmees on the schedule (No Maryland, Rutgers, MSU or PSU), not even Purdue; and with 6 games remaining they also don't have any powerhouses left.

That's why I'm convinced that for Iowa to make the CFP it has to be 11 wins or bust, despite some of the craziness that went on this weekend. Having a 10-2 record with their marquee win being Mich/Wash/NW/Neb isn't going to do it.

Agree. There are going to be maybe a dozen teams at 10-2 at the end.
I have zero confidence that Iowa would be chosen at 10-2.
OSU , IU and UCLA might grab the only slots for BIG.,unless we are 11-1...just win, Hawkeyes!

ESPN has us at 25.....what a effing joke.

I think we move up 2 or 3 spots in the AP and coaches poll. Call is lucky 13.

The CFP field of 24 can't come soon enough!
Should have been this year; we would be in with room to spare.

Well they aren't rising much in the polls if that's what people are hoping for. The teams that were all right above them won and the teams at the very top that lost aren't falling that far. The best Iowa can hope for is that they stay right about where they are.

It's all pretty irrelevant because nothing much has really changed. Iowa still needs to run the table to make sure they get in. 10-2 has them squarely on the bubble because right now there are probably 3 Big12 teams, 2 ACC teams, 4 SEC teams, and 3 Big10 teams that that are getting in over Iowa at 10-2. Add in the highest group of 5 and it's looking kind of bleak at 10-2.

We will leapfrog Mizzou but Bama is going to land ahead of us, bias, blue blood they are still great and they played a great team on the road blah blah.

If the hawks take care of the next two teams and run the ball well to very well they could be close to #12. As the weather may get worse you need to run the ball and not rely on passing all the time
