This is Tubby's last job and Memphis is better than TT. He got more money, has a better recruiting base, and likely will have a better opportunity to end his career on a higher note.

Nothing went wrong, in fact it went really right. He took a completely garbage program and got them into the NCAAs. He left for more money and, despite being a jank conference, more prestige. TTech is left with good players and a solid base for the future, Tubby gets another chance at a big-ish school to right their ship. Why are people so up in arms over this?

sigh.....

Do some of you honestly not take 5 minutes to scan the board? There are 2 or 3 threads, pages long, outlining the issue in its entirety.

That's not how this works. You see, those other threads were started by other posters. And the OP would have to read them. That's not fun. So we treat the board like it's Twitter and that way the OP only has to read his own thread, and delude himself into thinking he's added to the discussion in some meaningful way. Pretty soon OP is starting a "favorite posters" thread and including himself. That's how it's done around here.

I started one of them once. Man that was a good thread. Came in 4th place.

TTech has had a couple of decent teams and that was back in the '90's under James Dickey. However, it's hard to recruit in Lubbock as it's pretty much in the middle of nowhere. For the old-timers how many remember when they almost beat us in Rupp in '85 (I believe)? As I recall it took a shot by Irving Thomas late in the game to win.

Will Saul follow Tubby to Memphis? That has seemed to be the pattern for Saul to follow Tubby.

Did anyone mention that this will be the sixth team he has taken to the tournament? He might end up going for seven.

Lubbock is the home of LCU, women's D2 undefeated National Champions. Women's ball is big in the Texas panhandle. But the guys don't won't to go to Lubbock when they can go to Dallas, Waco, Austin, Houston and for some even Lexington, Ky.

Btw. Live 2 hours from Lubbock.

What? Huh? So we're not supposed to start entirely new threads or read existing threads on an existing subject? Are we still allowed to act like a defensive jackhole if someone calls us out when we do these things? This simple logic is making me want to go to the line beard board, wait, cough cough, nevermind.

You're over-thinking this. Here, let me help you with these easy steps:

1. Do you have a topic, question or comment?
2. Is that topic, question or comment addressed by an existing thread?
3. If yes, post your topic, question or comment in that thread. If no, start a new thread discussing your topic, question or comment.
4. Do not ignore step 2 and 3 just because those threads have 40 or more replies.

Together we can make this board great again. Thanks.
