On that play Matt got pissed at Stoops, rightfully so, for bringing his “red-faced Fanny” onto the field and “pitch his hissy fit ten yards away from our injured player” said that was the “most classless thing he’s seen from an SEC coach in a while” and I agree 100%. Matt thought he was arguing that DJ fumbled and that UK should’ve gotten credit for the recovery.
Later in the final wrap-up he clarified that was his thinking. I thought at the time it was pretty obvious and thought he showed restraint. My language might’ve been more colorful. No way should a coach argue or chastise his team on the field close to an injured player before anyone’s even checking on him. He could’ve kept his *** on the sidelines and argued/chastised once DJ had care, or just stayed off the field like he’s supposed to do regardless of what he was doing. If he’s coming on the field in the area of an injury he should’ve checked on the player first. That was very classless, and prolly exactly why we didn’t take a knee at the end.
