There were some very important but semi overlooked significant improvements
1. No drive killing penalties, only one significant penalty on the defense that proved costly (pass interference on the last drive)
2. NW choose to stay in an overload zone seemingly hopeful of forcing Gavin into mistakes, Gavin and Curt took what NW gave the and didn’t force the ball down field.
This was another reason Gavin had so much time as NW generally rushed four and didn’t blitz a lot, this also impacted our yds per carry as NW closed fast on the run.
3 all kickoffs went through the NW end zone not a single return, very impactful and something we haven’t seen in a long time.
4. Defense missed very few tackles, only one that I recall was the QB scramble in the 4th Q.
All these things contributed to a very clean game and limited very few NW opportunities.

Biggest ***** our receivers really need to run more crisp routes our cuts and angles really need work
