I don’t know how many times I have to say this. I’m not woke. I’m not a Democrat. I’m an American. Our country is going to go woke if we can’t admit that Trump is a conman only trying to enrich himself. He casts anyone that doesn’t follow him as a woke, liberal, socialist and a lot of you guys can’t get past the idea that there is a middle ground. We could elect a normal Republican not obsessed with petty revenge and advance ourselves. But we will be dragged down with this fool and set ourselves up for a generation of liberal leaders because you fools can’t acknowledge what is happening before your own eyes. It is really comical hearing you guys call out Rhule for anything you possibly can, yet give a free pass to this grifter that is running our nation into the ground while stripping everything from it to enrich himself and his billionaire buddies.

Rhule would be a more suitable POTUS than what we have at present. But so what a lot of current D1 football coaches. There are probably a lot of janitors with common sense that could do a better job.

It's a stupid idea and the latest, in a long line of stupid things he says and does, and provides yet more ammo to use against him... he makes it so fukcing easy to laugh at him and if we lose both the house and the senate it will be 100% because he couldn't stop acting like a child and his messaging sucks. The Senate is a lock for the Red team. House might be tougher but that's just the history of the party not in power.

Let's start with the basics. Trump is not a conservative, he is a populist. Once you understand this it might help. Love him or hate him, he brilliantly built a party that knows the passionate (social) issues of the right and he appeals to them (abortion, etc), but also ties in the populism part of the old Dem party (labor, wages, etc). It drives old school GOP'ers nuts because you're right - it is NOT that party (thank goodness. Some of us realize one party is not always right).
This wonderful old school Republican Party you speak of bled this country dry just like the Dems did (There were a few exceptions). Bunch of corrupt parasites.
You are glorifying a form of the party that died 10 years ago. It isn't coming back. You'll notice the two front-runners for 2028 are MAGA and not your beloved RINO flavor. They're gone man, time for a reality check.

Most polls are pathetic and most conservatives take them with heavy grains of salt. You dig into some of these polls and they poll like 42% dem and 29% republican....Joke.
2024 polling was the worst in decades. 66% accuracy for Prez and 63% for Congress.

So the polling that showed Trump at near 50% approval at the beginning of his term and now shows him routinely south of 35% approval is untrustworthy. Same polling organizations, same sampling methodologies, and same population of inference, which is the American voting public.
