All signs point to 11 P.M., but my TV menu...I have Verizon Fios....is listing the game coverage beginning at Midnight.
I know the World Series game one is listed for 8 P.M. on the same channel...Fox.
Are they anticipating an overlap ?
I'm setting it up to record the football game.....just in case it's worth watching a second time.

OMG.. I did not consider how kickoff time could change because of the World Series game.

Will they delay the actual kickoff.. or maybe just show the game on delay? Or show it.. already in progress?

I wouldn't expect the football game to be delayed. I think the start could get pushed off to another channel if the WS goes long.

You'd think FS1 or FS2 but don't be surprised if it moves to Fox Business Channel because that's happened for CFB games in the past. So be aware where that is on your guide just in case.

Nobody ever gets to complain about streaming games or talk about how great "tv/cable" is.

The game could be aired on tape delay?
Like we're back in the 70s?

9 am is fine these players are used to early morning football practices . But 1 or 2 in the morning ? No one ever practices at that time.
From an article in the Athletic

This week, Rutgers faces the most daunting start of any Eastern or Central time zone squad. The Scarlet Knights travel to USC on Friday for an 11 p.m. ET kickoff. It was designed to follow Game 1 of the World Series. That teams from New York and Los Angeles compete in both sports consecutively is a bonus for Fox.

At the league’s spring meetings near Los Angeles, Big Ten vice president for football administration A.J. Edds told the coaches in the Eastern and Central time zones to prepare for a late West Coast kickoff one out of every three years.

“As he said it, I said, ‘Well, luck of the draw,’” Rutgers coach Greg Schiano said this summer. “Then in that meeting, the schedule got released. I said, ‘There it is, 8 o’clock. I love it.’

“I’m not worried about the kids. That’s what time they’re going out. It’s me and (offensive coordinator Kirk) Ciarrocca. That’s what you’ve got to worry about.”

If the WS goes beyond 11 pm, I would think that the beginning of the football game could be televised on FS1 or FS2? It’s all connected as FOX sports, correct?

Correct if the WS runs late then the RU game will start on a Fox overflow channel and will be picked up after the baseball game on standard fox when finished.

Posted this in another thread.

Interesting experiment. Makes some sense, but with so much of that audience hitting 11 or later, wonder how it'll work. I will keep my eye on your ratings thread for the answer 😀

Great stuff for RU, tho, getting rolled into the NYC-LA rivalry. If we could actually, ya know, win - or at least battle it out in a close game - could pay dividends. Not holding a single breath, however.

What world do you live in?
I do not understand your comment.

All I said was that I never considered that an 11PM eastern kickoff time could go later. I did not realize that a world series game would be on the same network.

Oh.. I see how you read that.. I think. I was NOT suggesting that our football game should take precedence over a World Series game.

Not sure if anyone mentioned this already but searching for the game on Verizon Fios, the game is listed on Fox at 12am but also on WWOR channel 9 (509 on Fios) listed at 11pm. The Fios guide is not always accurate but it's an interesting find. Not sure what gives here but if I find that the game is not shown on Fox at 11pm, I'll try WWOR.
