Gamecock247 still has some power. Hale and JW are great. I plan on using both still
Don't shoot fireworks off just yet. Word around the campfire is this board, FGF, the free board, is gonna get nuked next week.
UGA did that to their free board (Dawgchat) right off the bat when they migrated from Rivals to On3.
If this one is paywalled you'll still have to sign up for an additional subscription for each board you want to read posts on, right?
Edit: By "nuked" do you mean completely removed, or require a paid subscription?

I remember skipping work and constantly refreshing one of the previous versions of this site to see if Ricardo Hurley committed to us.

It is not, it’s a paid subscription. It could possibly be free to read though…except stuff marked VIP
One subscription provides access to every board on On3. You can only post on your home board and the national boards.

Always found it interesting someone would pay for "inside" information as it deals with Gamecock sports. There can't be anything of significance released. Maybe I'm wrong, but I will not do it.

I'll say, though, a subscription provides much more than just "inside" information. There's value in that to a somewhat significant number of Gamecock fans. Hopefully, you'll get a shot one day, since it's only $1.

I've always viewed this site as a nice distraction from the everyday but necessary rituals.
I have enjoyed the comments and discussions, but I can't say I would consider paying for that privilege.

I went six months w/out this site, just logged in a few days ago.

The market will fill the need, it always does. A no cost option for simple ( not insider )info.

I say all this very respectfully and in kindness, so I hope it come across that way.
A whole lot of folks subscribe not only for access to inside information, but also access to be able to get their questions answered on a daily basis, and as @Brian Shoemaker mentioned, for the community.
When you say there can't be anything of significance released, I would respectfully disagree - and if you've never been a member, there would really be no way to know for sure. It's definitely a subjective thing. Thousands of people subscribe and love it. I've had folks I've talked with in the past who had the same opinion as you, but never tried us. Then they did, and stayed. Heck, some folks tried us and maybe it's not for them! It can go both ways.
The notion that you can get the same stuff on social media here...just not true.
The great thing is you can always try us out (for instance, right now, $1 for 3 months and if you cancel before your term, that's it). That way you can decide over the course of three months and know for sure.
I'm super cognizant of people's costs and what they invest in, so I don't say any of this lightly. I just hope people give our membership a chance before coming to a firm conclusion.

Hope you're doing well! You certainly don't have to pay, we have a lot of free content here on GamecockCentral.com. The reason we can do it is because of our subscription base, however. If that didn't exist, there would be no GamecockCentral.com and thus no free content.
Membership does have a lot of benefits and I'm always hopeful that people will give us a try and then come to a conclusion after that as to whether or not it's worth it!

I would point out that right now it's $1 for three months, so I good time to consider. Just my opinion, but I think giving the membership a try will let you draw that conclusion for sure. If you cancel prior to the term being up (just check out the terms of service) then you're out $1 and you get a three month runway to try us.
You get The Insiders Forum, Inside the Gamecocks forum, and ALL of our content. I think there's some great stuff in there, plus the community.
