Rumors now that they're looking to trade Brees to the Bucs. Why the hell would they trade the most important player in the history of their franchise within the division?

Looks like they want to do a complete rebuild now in stead of over time. Brees is a win now qb, not a rebuild your franchise around him due to his age. I'd hate it but when the chips started to fall I kind of saw it coming. Just wish Winston wasn't the top qb this year. I seriously can't pull for him, I can't. I've been a saints fan my whole life but if, IF, he is the qb, then i don't think I could continue my fandom

I understand the complete rebuild, even if I don't totally agree with it. But Brees still has a few good years in him and there are 28 other teams you could trade him to where you wouldn't have to play against him twice every year. Glad I'm not a Saints fan, because that's going to sting when Brees beats them.

How long you think Winston would last in the Big Easy? Two weeks tops?

I was a Saints fan before Brees and wil be one when he is gone. They are paying a lot of these guys a lot of money to get them to the Super Bowl but it just isn't happening. I hope Brees stays around for a few more seasons, it might be time for him to leave. I hope the back up plan is good.

Brees and Graham were eating up a lot of the salary cap and I think the Saints were 28 million over. I think what they are paying Ingram is too much. It's not like he has given them Hall of Fame numbers.

Yeah, it's this kind of stuff that keeps me from getting all wrapped up with any pro team. It is business, strictly business. I follow the Saints and I hope they wind, but I am sure not going to lose any sleep over what they do, on the field or off.

Bingo on Ingram, but I don't know if they had much choice but to pay him due to the premium on RB's lately.

I understand a complete rebuild... but how often do those pan out without an anchor/veteran player to build around? They can clear house, but they better hold on to Brees, if only for a couple more years.

It's like Brees and the Saints are becoming the Kobe/Lakers of the NFL. Not a Saints fan but for their sake, I hope they cut their losses before they get into the same mess that LA got into with Kobe's greedy ***.

He wasn't the same quarterback last year as he had been. If the Saints think he is declining and he won't return to prior form, then they can't sacrifice wins to keep a team legend. Its the New England Patriots method of managing a football team.

If they are going to get rid of Brees, PLEASE wait a year and draft Dak to replace him.

Because he is one hit away from ending his career. And he's too short.

I would love to see Dak play for them one day but unfortunatly he is Dallas fan.

Brees isn't going anywhere. Whenever he leaves the Saints it will be on his own accord. ESPN is just trying to make news instead of reporting it. Besides there aren't that many great QB's out there in FA or the draft to replace him and probaly none for the next few years. As for Jimmy Graham; the Saints got the better end of the deal on that one.

What the heck is going on with the Cowboys. Note to JJ, last years success was due to Murray, Not Dez or Romo. I would;ve kept Murray and traded Dez.

I disagree

Last years success was due to their O-line. Also, Murray is a huge injury risk. Their O line makes a good running back look great. I think the back up averaged 6ypc

Brees better rebound next season or NO will be stuck. Declining production...

from Brees, his high salary, and decreasing interest from other teams.
