Hi everyone,
Lately, I’ve been wondering what kind of software and technology actually powers modern online games. At first glance, we mostly see animations, sounds, and different game mechanics, but there are often much more complex systems running in the background.
I’m especially interested in topics such as random number generators, graphics engines, server technologies, and the software responsible for payouts, statistics, and game functionality.
While reading about the subject, I also came across this page:

Does anyone here know much about the technical side of these games? Which technologies or software providers do you find the most interesting, and what do you usually look at to tell whether a platform is technically well built?
