Why wouldn't a coach be held to a hire standard than players?
Because he's supposed to be their coach and leader and a mature adult. Literally his actions lead to those punches being thrown from the players. He made the situation 100x worse than it should have been.
One of the reports that I read said that JH also yelled at Gard: "I'm going to fu¢k!ng kill you."

Punishment should also be given to players involved in the fighting on both teams.Diabate had a previous incident after the Rutgers game.at the RAC which shows a pattern of being out of control.
He yelled that at Turgeon last year, not Gard this year.

What a joke of a leader. He operates about two years ahead of his kids when it comes to his actions. Goes after UM coach, scuffle at the end of our game and now this. Come on. Anyone who thinks this is all ok and gives a line about “we back our family…. blah blah” has lost their moral compass.

In his presser, Gard gave his very logical reason for the timeout. He was playing his bench, Michigan was pressing, they only had 4 seconds to get it over the line. The timeout gave them the 10 seconds. He was merely trying to explain this to Howard when Howard went off. It’s Howard’s insecurity as a head coach that leads to this behavior and become a poor role model. Assuming he wasn’t read the riot act after his prior episodes, I think he should get suspended for the rest of the season, get one on one training on appropriate behavior, and a final warning that another serious issue results in termination. He should also apologize to his team, to Wisconsin and the Michigan nation. The man makes a lot of money and should be very concerned about it.

No excuse for UMich stalling. Suspend Howard right now based upon what is obvious to the world and sort the rest out later. Suspect Gard will get a one-game suspension.
Michigan is pathetic. If pike pulled this once (not factoring in the Maryland incident ), he would be fired today

Unless there is new footage I only saw 3 players total throw punches. 2 from Michigan, Diabete and Williams. I am expecting at least 1 game suspensions for those 2, but those are the only 2 I think will miss our game
