What should Howard's punishment be?

I would go with the rest of the regular season, but let him coach in the B1GT.
There are two possible levels of suspension. What the B1G may impose, and what the university may impose. My guess - three games from the B1G, nothing further from UM.
Coaches can't do this. He should be terminated. It's also a convenient way to terminate a contract if administrators were thinking his time might be up before this.
If it was the first time he pulled this crap a multi game suspension. This is not the first time so can him.
Saw this earlier. The Big Ten can only suspend for 2 games and 10k fine. Michigan would have to add on more

What the punishment “should be” and “will be” may be two very different things.
Then B1G imposes the max and that is it. I will be shocked if UM adds anything.
How incredibly embarrassing. Young men who can't even drink legally having to be the level headed responsible ones with their emotions in check restraining their adult coach... what happens if they don't hold him back? Howard looked like he wasn't done swinging
I think the protocol is for the university to respond/act first, followed by the conference.
He is done for this season. Any thing less than that is a total joke.
Dude is a ticking time bomb, if serious punishment is not handed out this time, the next incident may be much worse with possible fan involvement.
I don't want him canned. I want him to keep being another jerk coach at that esteemed university. He's beatable as we know.n

UM will suspend him until the first TV time out.
Should be fired and forced to take anger management classes. He’s a disgrace to any university let alone Michigan.
