Favorite pastime or hobby? This may have been done before, I'm not sure.
for me its Golf, used to shoot a lot of competition archery, but not much anymore, and camping/boating. I also like to reload my own ammunition for accuracy.

Well, it's more like my 'used to be' hobby now, but I loved playing video games back in the "old days", and that lead to my main passion of collecting video games, and video game systems. Had thousands of video games (most complete in boxes), and I guess about 100 plus game systems in boxes. Owned many Atari 2600 & 5200 prototypes, even had some signed by the Atari game programmer Bob Polaro. Had Nintendo Starfox Competition Cart & Blockbuster Donkey Kong Championship Cart, and a ton of other rare Snes & Nes games. The only 2 things that I never got that I really, really wanted were a Nintendo World Championship Gold Cartridge, and a RDI Halcyon System...both extremely rare (and expensive), especially the almost non-existent RDI Halcyon System. I actually had made arrangements to buy the RDI system but the guy turned around and sold it to another buyer at the last minute...even though we had an agreement, and my offer was higher...other guy was a local. And almost the same thing happened with the NWC Gold Cartridge, a guy out in California had it, and I was in the process of sending payment...when a local bought it. So close, yet...

Anyway, after my wife's health problems, it just didn't seem to be so much fun anymore, and I sold off most of my collection (and all the seriously rare stuff) to other collectors. I still have a small collection of probably a 1000+ games, and about 40 or 50 video game systems (that includes the moderns systems such as PS3, PS4, Xbox, Xbone, etc., and I intend to keep those and leave them to my 2 daughters who both love video games. Every once in a blue moon I even hookup an old system (I especially love Colecovision, Snes, Nes, Sega Genesis, & Turbo Grafx 16, Duo) to an old CRT television (the only way to play...I'm old school).
So much fun to do a little reminiscing.

Working on my cars and Jeeps, music, hanging with friends, and my kids.

My stepdaughter just inherited a 1969 Camaro SS. She wants me and her to work on it together fixing it up as a project. Its not in bad shape at all. It has been garaged for the last 15 or so years, just hasn't been started or driven, and the interior is extremely musty, but the body is very straight, and I haven't seen any rust, even in the door jams, floor pans, or Qtr. It will be a fun project!

Member of Pilot Knob Country Club. I love to either take the old 67 GTO or the 06 Road King and head to the Knob and play golf. That's a good day. Unfortunately work interferes with that plan more than I want it to.

I hear ya, my pops and I finished with our project a few years ago. Ole 67 GTO. Heck of a lot better driving it than restoring it but it all part of the process

Working on houses - Everything from salvaging materials from teardowns to complete renovations - carpentry, rock work, plumbing, wiring, etc.

Working on my mountain house now (2.5 year project). Was a barn that was converted into a house in 1970. I am completely renovating it (almost done).

I use lots of recycled materials. Lots of wormy chestnut, old ponderosa pine shiplap, vintage pine beadboard from a 1923 teardown, tin roofing tiles, old doors and old theater spots and much more. Love integrating old materials into a project.

I like cooking something I've never made before. In the summer I like cutting my grass (walk behind) while listening to the Moth Podcast and stopping in the garage every 10 minutes to sip Beam on the rocks. I like going on walks or camping with my wife and 3 kids. Most of all, I like watching Duke basketball with my dad and oldest son. Life can be so simple.

Is it a 396 SS?? Sweet ride to say the least. Love that old muscle even though some of this new stuff is pretty impressive.

I had a beautiful 1969 Chevelle SS 396/325 hp, orange exterior with white interior and white hood stripes from 1971 until 1973. I had to get rid of it when gasoline got to a staggering .52 per gallon thanks to OPEC. I bought it used from a friend who bought it new from City Chevrolet in Charlotte NC. Fifty two cents a gallon was hard to absorb for a 23 year old clearing about 1.30 per hour.

We should put together a D.I. Board Golf Tournament / Scramble. Who's In?

I said that exact same thing in "The Open" thread. Maybe find out who all would be interested and pick a place the most centrally located. Depending on when and where, I'm absolutely in!

I would say invite our "colleagues" from THR...But they would probably just cheat on their scorecards
Doc Steat would criticize our team for even playing with all the OFC guys - he'd say they are all too old and the injury risk isn't worth it.
Guru Gary would talk about all the blown putts.
They would lose and it'd be because of officiating.
