Here's my question: do you pull for any teams where you have no personal or geographic connection?
That's what I don't get. You see people listing teams from all over the place and you have to wonder if there are any real connections to teams on such a diverse geographic list.
Last years Citrus Bowl must’ve suckedHaha. From PA. Brainwashed by my dad like most of us were. He never had a college b-ball team, so i was left to fend for myself. Best decision I have ever made.
Mets - I lived practically at Shea growing up
Knicks
Rangers
Dolphins
St John’s - went to school there
Arsenal
Napoli
New York Red Bulls
Stjarnan - cause who doesn’t watch Icelandic soccer
Prob countless others I’m missing at the moment. I follow a lot of sports lol
You didn’t say what college fb team you followWell, put me on your list then. I'm a fan of the basketball team, not the University. Couldn't care less what the FB team does. Or the baseball team, the rifle team or any other UK team except I once had a passing interest in the volleyball team some years ago, but only then because I knew one of the assistant coaches.
I didn't attend UK, and have no connection to the University that might lead me to being a fan of all its teams.
How do you go on living?
[sick]Kentucky basketball and Miami Hurricanes Football are my life equally . I literally have my house in half decorated in Miami and half in UK . My parents went to UK but I have lived in Florida most of my life and saw Miami win 2 titles in person( 87 and 2001 )
I also love the cubs in terms of baseball and the Jags in the NFL .

I came here on a road trip in August of 1977 with a friend who had aspirations of getting into the Academy. No small task. He didn’t, but went on to pilot an F18 hornet. Went down to Holloman once and got to sit in the front seat. I was like the 9 year old who once sat in the cab of a D9. My Vette at Bandimere was as close as I ever came. Hike the Bahr trail if you haven’t already. And put an 80 lb pack on your back for good measure. It’s only 26 miles.I can’t wait to finish pilot training so I can move back to Colorado Springs. I miss it so much. Beautiful place to live with a lot of friendly people.
Haha nah not really. More of a let down they were in the Citrus bowl to begin with, than the outcome.Last years Citrus Bowl must’ve sucked
Haha I’ll pack with snacks and drinks and my side arm for good measure (mountain lions were in the area we did survival in) and hike that trail for sure. Only basic essentials. If I go camping/hiking I like to pack light. Survival though they made us pack them to 80 pounds. That wasn’t the part I enjoyed lolI came here on a road trip in August of 1977 with a friend who had aspirations of getting into the Academy. No small task. Yeah...especially against a crappy Kentucky team. That had to totally suck.Haha nah not really. More of a let down they were in the Citrus bowl to begin with, than the outcome.
Has anyone ever switched teams, for whatever reason?

I do. Still support the players and new coaches there, yes. Obviously, extremely embarrassed with what went on with the old regime and staff, but don't think the kids there now should be held accountable for the actions of a few absolute POS.Do you still support Penn State?
Man I’d hope not.
That’s what probation and death penalty is supposed to do. Look at Louisville. No one there anymore but the current athletes are paying for itI do. Not sure the current athletes at Penn State are paying for it anymore as they have been bringing in top 12 classes for the past 5 years. But I understand your point. The football players were given the option to transfer right after the sanctions came out, but many of them stayed. That’s what probation and death penalty is supposed to do. Look at Louisville. Icelandic Soccer! Loved their announcer when they beat England!
I really wished Penn State self imposed a death penalty for a year. It would have sucked, but personally i would have totally respected that. Not sure the current athletes at Penn State are paying for it anymore as they have been bringing in top 12 classes for the past 5 years. This except for the NBA part. I don't care at all about the NBA.1. UK basketball
2. The Bengals
3. The Reds
I haven't followed the Reds closely since the '90s, but I know the team's entire history like the back of my hand.
I keep up with the NBA but I'm not really a fan of any team.
Nice! I thought I'd be the one who said a service academy here (West Point). Nice to see at least one other post about them!Other than Kentucky I only cheer for the military academies. West Point (army), Air Force, and Annapolis (navy). If Air Force plays any of the other two I cheer for AF because I went there for 2 years.
For all the talk about the treatment of college athletes I haven’t seen any hearts bleed for the young men and women at these schools who have signed up to serve their country. If you think college athletes should be further compensated, the military academies is where it should start imo.
Actually I did, in my first post on this thread. For CFB, it's the Marshall Thundering Herd. Saw them beat the snot of BYU in the 1999 Motor City Bowl in Pontiac, Michigan, probably the most enjoyable CFB game I ever saw. Marshall won 20-3 and the game wasn't nearly as close as the score would indicate. The Herd had two long TD's called back on penalties. You didn’t say what college fb team you follow
