They must be motivated by the basketball bench.
Whatever the reason, the coaches now seem to be saying, “ we’ve tried it your way and are 0-4. Let’s try it our way now and see what happens.”Hard to believe it's been happening for a third of the season and hasn't been corrected yet. Yikes

Seems like that is the mindset now. I though I read somewhere earlier in the off season that Frost and Co didn't want to yell and scream to get these guys to do what they should. He wanted the team to figure it out themselves and hold each other accountable. I think he was doing it that way because that is what worked here when he was here.Whatever the reason, the coaches now seem to be saying, “ we’ve tried it your way and are 0-4. They’re having fun being mediocre team
Apparently no one really watched UCF football. Lots of penalties and a young hip coaching staff, that allowed the dancing and stuff to take place.
Which is all well and good...until you don’t know how to turn it on and turn it off at the appropriate time. If we were 2-1 and rolling Purdue...dance and jaw. Get some swagger back in the program. Same with penalties...not all penalties are created the same. Getting stupid penalties that keep drives alive for the other team and kill your team aren’t the same as effort penalties that don’t quite break your way but are a result of the type of play that will lead to big plays at other times.
It’s not always about what’s happening opposed to when it’s happening. And when guys can’t figure that out, that’s when the staff needs to bring down the hammer. I think frost wanted to do things how he did them at UCF but is realizing this program needs a reality check and the players arent ready to be given any leeway in terms of policing themselves and being disciplined
If it’s allowed it’s allowed. UCF was behind in games over the past 2 seasons and this stuff happened then too.
If you don’t want people dancing when you’re behind, don’t let them dance when you’re ahead. You are asking kids to monitor and police themselves. Didn’t Riley price to you that you can’t leave it to the kids? They’ll skip class, skip workouts, and accept mediocrity.
He said he was irritated to learn we had players dancing while we were getting rolled by Purdue and that it was like some of these guys enjoy losing.Cliffs?
I'm not much of a fan of it to begin with, but it's especially bad when we play as bad as we do. It just makes our players look stupid, and with all the stupid penalties that they get, it's getting hard to argue against that. If we're boatracing teams and they're dancing, I don't mind that. But that IS this coaching staff's way....they did this at UCF...brought in large speakers to blast rap music in practice...let players dance along the sideline at games, showboat after tackles, etc....
This is their method...but I think its something that should be REWARDED and not something they should be able to do when they are winless going into October.
Do you seriously think 0-4 is mediocre? They’re having fun being mediocre team
Do you seriously think 0-4 is mediocre?
Yeah, I guess what I am getting at is the coaches have allowed this to go on to a point where they are saying it can’t continue. What worked at UCF isn’t working here. But that IS this coaching staff's way....they did this at UCF...brought in large speakers to blast rap music in practice...let players dance along the sideline at games, showboat after tackles, etc....
