I don’t see anything more than sweet 16 there. Hope I’m wrong. Still think we need a wing scorer, another point guard, and another big. At least two of those three.
Another wing scorer in particular, but apparently Cal thought it was more important to work on his tan than beat the bushes like his life depended on it to deepen this roster.

Nice name
You know as much as I can't stand the constant Cal haters on here. You're just as bad and also a huge part of the problem here. You're either a family member or a close friend of Cal or 12 years old.
This board is a cesspool.
Full of non UK fans posing as UK fans.
Cal Haters, Cal defenders, People who have been blocked 1,000 times who keep coming back with different names.
Impossible to have a discussion about the actual team. Two posts in someone is bashing Cal and post 3 the Cal defenders run to his rescue. Sickening.

Hey great post. I haven’t seen anyone question the roster in 10-15 seconds
You're a primo richard. Only the resident sociopaths tolerate you.

I found your pic though...

Need a 4 that can shoot the 3.

Grandison is the perfect fit in that role. That’s the role he played at Illinois.

Can Toppin or Collins provide that? Or maybe slide Livingston over as a small ball 4?

I hope so, because if your PG can’t shoot, and your Center is camped out in the paint, then you have to get some shooting from your 2-4 spots or your spacing is crap.

As long as Frederick and Reeves stay healthy we will be fine shooting the 3.

Some of you guys need to chill.

Fredrick staying healthy is a big ask.

Also, they likely won’t be on the floor that much because Wallace and Livingston are going to get most of the minutes at the 2 and 3 spots, IMHO. And we need both of them out there together to spread the floor. That’s not going to happen much at all.

This is the way I see it, but I doubt Theiro will be in the regular rotation, or play PG. I just put him there to balance out a 2-deep.

A lot of non shooters.Typical Cal.

CJ 46% career (80+ makes at Iowa)
Reeves 39% LY (76 makes last year)

One of those guys needs to start and one needs to come off the bench.

If that happens and they play plenty in rotation we should be good. Of course they need to stay healthy.

We also have no clue about Wallace, Livingston from 3 to be fair.

I am neither a friend of Cal nor a family member. I have had this name on here since 2004. I support UK. And if Cal is the coach I support him. Period. Just like I will support the next coach 100%.

I think at the beginning of the year they split time and rotate starting. Cal will have to do his magic on responding to the players mindsets about not starting or finishing. IMO

If Wheeler has to start, then one of Fredrick and Reeves has to start with him and Wallace in the backcourt. If not, it’s going to be tough to watch the halfcourt offense.

With Wheeler at PG, I start Wallace and Reeves or Fredrick on the wings. Then bring Fredrick or Reeves off the bench. Similar to starting Washington and Grady and bringing Mintz off the bench.

Then I hope Toppin has worked on his shooting and can play more of a stretch 4 role. We need shooting at the 2-4 or we are in trouble.

I agree that no one should complain about the shooting ability of those two. If Fredrick can play all-out and retains 95% of his pre-injury mobility, then you can’t ask for a better shooter that is also actually able to play top level Div. I basketball. And Reeves was a really good get as a shooting & scoring option on the wing. I also would guess Wallace might give UK around 33% 3pt. shooting, and Wheeler & Livingston might do the same shooting low volume. I can’t even honestly hazard a guess about Toppin and Collins, but it’s not out of the realm of possibility that they could add a little perimeter scoring occasionally.

The bricks will be flying.Only hope of adding someone is a Rob Dillingham reclass but that would take Wheeler's heart.
Yeah, cause you know for sure Dillingham (who has never played a minute of D1 basketball) is going to be more productive than a 2 time all SEC pg who was 3rd in the nation in assists last year. Some of you guys are something else.
