How invested are you, emotionally, with the RU athletic program? So you believe there's no one out there without baggage that can get RU to the NCAA's in 4 or 5 years?
Okay HOOPS, If you are a family friend of Hurley and have spoken to him or someone close to him I'll take your word, he has no interest in a future Boston College job opening.
John Calipari will be announced as the new coach tomorrow. The delay was getting John Chaney the money needed for the Assistant HC position.

Let's recap, you're the one that responded to my speculation and got all defensive. I just said it based on Hurley's own words about how much he and his family love New England...BC may be an idea he is thinking about. No one knows, except him and his family. I'm sure family and the best place for him to raise his children is his biggest issue.
Just because someone was born and raised in New Jersey and lived their most of their life ( LIKE ME), does not mean they want to return. I absolutely love New Jersey, but, Ohio is now home. Heck, if I return to NJ, my car insurance triples....lol

I just feel like Rutgers fans I talk to at work, read on the board, are looking for the holy grail that doesn't exist. not sure a 'high character guy' will have the well connected assistants to do the dirty work, open dialogue with the many unsavory in AAU circuit . not sure a 'high character guy' will have the guts to go aggressively after a kid with out of world talent but who comes with some baggage and heavy duty alterior motive 'support group' (families included) .
I guess it depends on what you're looking for in the program...is a squeaky clean .500 your goal ? or a tournament bid?

There were a lot of RU fans that thought Eddie would get it done.
Some will admit to that ( me) and others will not say a word that they felt Jordan was a good hire.
But there were those who questioned if Eddie could succeed and stated they were against hiring Jordan.
