we picked a WVU football game next season at home, and I set up a OT tent with full spread and football juice.....and you have to wear your handle on your shirt to get in?

I wonder how many of us would have the hairy hangers to come? I wonder how many of us would be leaving with either hurting jaws or fists?

I would respect even the craziest one of you for coming in handle out.

I’ve met a ton of folks from The Blue Lot and became friends with them. We used to make it a thing for the Spring Game.

I'm in, I'm sure ya'll think this WV Veteran liberal is a *****, lol. Plus I imagine Dave and I would get along fabulously, he reminds me of a very good friend I never discuss world events with. I rarely get along with golfers though.

I'd show up, but I doubt some of the folks who call me names or accuse me of sleeping with hoes or my own daughter's would show up and say that to my face. But I think it would be cool to meet a few of you loud mouth Leftists in person to see if your bite is worse than your bark? I certainly wouldn't be that hard to pick out from the crowd.:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

You know what I look like. You know where I live. Why wait for an invitation at a tailgate party? I'll buy your ticket and fly you here to Atlanta! Just tell me where to send it? I'll meet you at the airport, even treat you dinner. Then you can say whatever you have to say to me directly to my face and we'll see what happens?

I don't know you well enough to decide, I guarantee ya our sides on here wouldn't translate into who we would wanna hang with. I mean, I live in WV, Mineral County, so it ain't like I'm hanging with vegan anti hunting folks at the VFW after work, lol.

I would imagine a lot guys on the Left are cool to hang out with, and a lot less belligerent in person than they are protected by anonymity and a computer or i-pad keyboard. What is actually disappointing is I assume we're all on the same team (Mountaineers) and look what retail politics has done to what should be our common thread or bond? Our school and our team?

That's what's really sad!

When I came to WV from upstate NY back in the mid 70's...they were some of the nicest folks I'd ever met. Most people from WV I run into and see me wearing my gear will ask if I'm from there? I tell them I did go to school there and the vast majority are just as nice. I'm not sure who some of you on the Left are or where you come from but you all are nothing like the WV folks I know.

Lol, I’m not even a member of the V. I’m sure we’d get along great, I generally do with most people. I’m extremely respectful of opposing viewpoints and a good many of my friends are flaming liberals. Unless I tell you I’m from WV, most people don’t know that or that I served. My persona on here is certainly different than IRL. I use the board to talk some political **** for fun. In real life I don’t care what your beliefs are other than if you have some and are educated on them.

I'd bet lots of the folks who talk sh*t on this board are quiet as Church mice IRL. Just a hunch.

I wish more people thought like this! On both sides. Imo, it’s whats always made our nation great.....since the federalist papers, a little of this, a little of that has worked well

**** yeah, who wants to argue in real life, losing friends over politics? I don't think so. I've always said friendships wouldn't break down along party lines shown on here, no way am I wasting time on a golf course, lol.

Sometimes silence is the best answer that says it all.

Or like Grandpa always wisely advised:

I just don't like Golf, lol, have a fishing buddy that cuts out on me whenever he gets a better Golf deal. I'm lucky enough to have come back to my small town and find a good job after I got out of the military, most of my friends here I met in Kindergarten! lol. Rich ones, poor ones, outlaws, hillbillies, good mix. Lets do this, I have two kids out there now.

I'd move back to WV in a heartbeat, preferably the ohio valley, if I could convince the wife....say what you will there is something special about WV people

Well I had to leave for a good long time before I realized that, one thing I've noticed, no matter where you go you meet folks who have had a West Virginia friends and usually they still think fondly of them, we all leave it seems so we are everywhere! A friend of mine in the military once told me while watching a group of WVU fans at a BBall game in Anchorage Alaska, you ******* could play a game on the Moon and there would still be a group of Hillbillies cheering on the Mountaineers!

I sure would. Most people are pretty cool when we are all similarly focused on a WVU game/win.

I would just personally like to meet some of the loudest mouths on the Left of this forum in person. Something tells me the ones who are the most brash or vociferous are probably the shortest sawed off little runts you can possibly view outside of a midget wrestling match!

At the very least, it might be incredibly amusing matching the size of the most boastful braggarts on the Left here with their actual physical appearances. The visual dichotomy would likely be very hard to dismiss or even ignore.

I remember Dave, Cpeer, and a few others from the Blue Lot. Did we ever meet there?

I don't think so, or at least I don't remember if so. Jim, fEER, SD, Cp, dave, EF, SIM stick out. I met Doom down this direction, I went to a few of his games. He moved schools this year out of my reach.
