Just say no…You sure about that??
Texas State makes a little bit of sense, NIU makes zero sense. NIU and the MAC are a match made in heaven. MWC should focus on the Dakota schools and trying to get them to jump to FBS.ESPN was reporting yesterday that Texas State and Northern Illinois are the top prospects for the Mountain West. Both the MWC and the PAC still need more schools to meet minimum requirements.
The NIU proposal is football only. No word on where they would park their Olympic sports. Tex St would be a full member.
They really think they can pull in the Dallas, Houston, Austin, San Antonio and Chicago markets with this move.Texas State makes a little bit of sense, NIU makes zero sense. NIU and the MAC are a match made in heaven. MWC should focus on the Dakota schools and trying to get them to jump to FBS.
That's comical. They're literally the only game on after 9pm and no one in the EST or CST time zones watch. That's the PAC 2-4-6-8-10-12's problem and why they could never finagle more $$$ out of the networks to bring them up to even with the ACC and Big XII (that and their commissioner was a complete buffoon). This is why the majority of options being discusses right now are streaming only options. The MWC is not going to get more than that nor are they going to get more than the AAC.They really think they can pull in the Dallas, Houston, Austin, San Antonio and Chicago markets with this move.
