The golden standard of college basketball? My candy ***.

47 other teams have been to a final four since we have. That’s a complete shame. Cal hasn’t coached a game since 2015. He’s mentally fatigued from that season.

We don’t have anyone that takes pride in winning anymore. No adjustments, game plans, coaching. No alpha mentality players anymore.

Remember being ill physically after a loss? Nah that’s just the standard these days.

“Be patient with us.”
“We haven’t been together for long.”
“Need to get the right guy in the right situations.”
“Need more fight from certain players.”

The locker room hasn’t been together in years. Players feel entitled. This isn’t Kentucky basketball.

Titles are a thing of the past until the era changes.

The Cal Boys wag their finger in UK fans faces excusing this ******** product that UK has turned into. Cal has neutered the Kentucky Basketball program and they couldn't care less. How dare anyone question his lordship. Turning UK into Indiana/Louisville standards with no expectations and going into big games expecting to get your *** spanked.

He checked out after he had the chance to make unrepeatable history in 2015. Everything since has been talent, not coaching

The number came from me being a little sarcastic but yeah - 24. Would be 28 but a tournament was cancelled. Far too many. It’s my fault for not being more clear I was being sarcastic but still the actual number is unacceptable. Easily and undeniably unacceptable
I figured you all were, it’s all cool, Kentucky hasn’t made a final four in a while for our standards and it we aren’t close to reaching another one

What kills me are people who think we want Cal fired every time he doesn’t make one. No, not at all. But with the talent he gets and the turnover he asks us to tolerate (even celebrate) he’d better ****** deliver a FF every so often and we are damn near a decade ago

Exactly I haven’t been on the first cal train the whole time, but the program isn’t in a good spot and I don’t know when it will reach what it used to be

I gave up my season tickets four years ago because of the weak schedule and number of weekday games, but also because I no longer found the games entertaining enough to invest 4K for two end zone tickets. My 65 inch TV had a much better view .

Since then ticket prices have plummeted and many seats are empty for at least some of the games. This in spite of the removal of 4000 seats . The athletic department is even offering lower arena seats for some SEC games to "alumni" at face price ie without the mandatory K Fund donation.

Interest in the program is at an all time low even as recruiting seems to be as good as any time in the past. The NIL stuff is sure to lower that interest even more as many of us sense that it further entitles the players and takes away some of their drive. It is for this same reason that many of us pay no attention to professional basketball.

So the real question is will UK ever return to being the so called Gold Standard of college basketball .
