They are getting absolutely destroyed by Duke right now in every area of the game. I know Cut has made tremendous improvement at Duke, but it’s not even close. Duke is more physical and sound.

Also, the “no brainer” hire of Fuente at Tech does not look like it will last much closer.

I thought Fuente would be a fast winner there. I think they’ve had some major cultural problems in the program that have lingered for two years now and they still are fighting them.

Living about 45 minutes from tech and having a brother in school there, I hear it all. Lots of unhappy folks around these parts.

Tech did have quite a few players transfer out.

I’d be willing to bet that there’s only about a 25-30% chance of success when schools hire a new coach.

If we fired Moorhead and hired someone else I’d bet there’s at least a 60-70% chance that the next guy would be only as good as Moorhead or worse.

Look at the horrific hires that these blue blood schools have hired in the last decade. Millions and millions of dollars every year to go 7-5.
