What has happened to ACC baseball

All former powerhouse teams but now are middle to low end of the pack. Has the rise of SEC schools pulled the ACC down?

Coaching changes at the first 4 over the last few years. From legends to not legends. I asked about VA this year because they have been quiet lately. But they are going to Supers. I think NC St is going to win in Fayetteville.

Well that's a hot take and I certainly hope you are right.

I think some of the down you see this year is due to largely playing a conference only schedule. It looks like they all beat up on each other a little bit this year. They ended up with 3 teams in the supers. That’s not too bad.

....the pigs are dangerously close to getting bested, even though they keep winning. Using Kopps so irresponsibly and using Slavens when he can barely walk just reeks of desperation to me. With their supposed pitching depth and offense, why do they rely so heavily on 2 players?

They already lost one pitcher to TJ.... but they hit and field at an elite level, so they are always in a game. NC State is much better than Nebraska, who gave the pigs more than they bargained for.

Of course, I always expected the 2019 LSU football team to blow it and they never did. They were similar, and had a single transfer that led them all the way. Sometimes you just get all the breaks.

I wonder if VanHorn is trying to retire. He’s not coaching like a guy that plans on being around a lot longer. Maybe it’s the pressure from choking that 2019 title away.... or maybe he just wants to sleep at night again.
