NFHS is obviously a joke. I’m not sure if any other teams decided to do the same but since MC’s NFHS stream failed and they decided to stream the second half on YouTube, will they be fined? Or penalized?

I’m guessing they got permission? NFHS got everyone’s $ already. I noticed over 700 viewers watching a game that already had a running clock. Hopefully NFHS allows MC to broadcast next weeks game vs Barrington on YouTube.

They don't have to allow them, MC just has to pay. There were plenty of games on YouTube tonight.

MC has paid and streamed their playoff games on YouTube in the past. I wonder why they didn’t for Marist. Good to know that’s still an option. I don’t think Barrington game will worth the visit and would rather watch at home.

Does MC usually broadcast road games on their channel?

Too answer two of you

MC did not choose to let NFHS do the game. NFHS has a financial arrangement with the IHSA and they get to "claim" certain games -- which they did tonight. MC has a very sophisticated television operaation and they choose to stream their games on their youtube channel. The IHSA and its "deals" can over-rele them.

We have alums around the world watching our youtube games. Personally, I've tuned in from California, Dublin, and London. However, nowadays, my basement is as good as I get

Yes, normally there is just a fee to be paid. However, MC was not given that option this round. Same for Brother Rice. I believe BR did the nuclear option and decided not to have their students do the play by play on NFHS either. So maybe it’s just a camer pointed at the field? Find out tomorrow!

Barrington hosted their "opening round" game last week so they got their home game so they are coming to Dante. I thought MC was going there too, last weeks games are throwing some people
