What happened to John Marshall?

I don't follow 3-4A very much but did have an interesting convo with some of the posters on this page at the beginning of the season who said that everybody else was playing for second. I have read through this page and can't find anything. Did I just miss it? Is Marshall still in the hunt?

Basically, Hopewell came out of nowhere to earn the #1 seed in conference 26. John Marshall was 2 and George Wythe was 3 (Wythe would have been 2 but had to forfeit 2 games because of over scheduling). Thus setting up a win or go home semifinal game in the conference 26 tourney. Wythe won the game fairly easily. Wythe is the real deal! Long story short, John Marshall lost in the conference semi's and their season is over.

JM plays in toughest conference. George wythe may be the best basketball team in the state and JM the second. Look for Hopewell and GW to play two more times.

I second that! Wythe is the truth. It's going to take a near perfect game for a team to beat them.

I also thought everyone else was playing for 2nd place behind John Marshall.
