Just turned on ESPN to BYU vs UNLV. Says BYU is 2-8. The quarterback that threw the hail mary in Riley's debut at Nebraska is still the starter there. Also, did not know Johnny Stanton(fm NU backup qb) is the starting QB at UNLV. ESPN said he played Linebacker there last season

BYU's starting QB is a freshman from the eastern US I think at least that's who played the whole first half. They've had a ton of injuries too. Johnny Stanton on the other hand played the whole first half for UNLV and moved them well through the air and with his feet. He unfortunately under threw a pass by about a yard on the run which resulted in an interception in the redzone. UNLV's offense is fun to watch but they've had trouble finishing drives. Stanton has a strong arm but is a little inconsistent. He looks much better for UNLV than he did in that ;last spring game.
Oh my. Stanton with a beautiful TD pass as he got smacked. Other than the one mistake on the run, he's looked really good tonight. Barney has him tuned up. 15/20 for 220+ yards with 1td/1int and 31 yards rushing so far now.

UNLV's defense is terrible. Stanton with another TD pass. Kid looks good. Very happy for him.
what a hilariously stupid play call from byu on that 3rd and 2 last drive. running over em like crazy and they throw a pass. very tim beck like.
BYU lost Bronco Mendenhall. That's what happened to BYU.

Stanton had a late pick but he showed some flashes of what Beck and Riley saw in him coming out of high school.
