With all the academias and liberals entrenched at most of these institutions, did you really expect the football seasons to be played? We’ll see how they feel after their budgets start to get cut and furloughs are established. But, then they will hit the government up for a bailout. They feel entitled to that anyway!

What’s it like being an ignorant c*nt? I mean, how do you find your way back home every time you leave the house? Do you have special shoes that fit both your right and your left foot?

why would academic budgets get cut due to no fall sports?

Athletic departments are a drain on school budgets, not a positive (at all but handful of schools)

Hell, most academic types don’t care for sports anyways. It is a win for them

Many good democrats in America.

Liberalism is a sickness and is evil, and has taken over much of the Democratic Party.

I wish more people understood this concept.

It's exactly the reason the USA's biggest enemy is the two-party system. Liberalism in a multiple party system would die a lonely death...as would the lunatic fringe of the Republican Party.

Hence why this years election is not about Republican v democrat its about the American way vs terrorism. Anyone who votes dem this election i consider to be a terrorist to support what they would do to our great country if elected

That’s exactly proof of how ignorant the academic types really are. Clemson football funds the entire athletic department along with IPTAY. These professors should be on their knees thankful for athletics, especially football. The program has raised the entire perception of Clemson Univ which in turn, gives those libs job security and raised salaries.

Athletics aids the academic side in lots of ways other than direct funding. The academic side is gonna be affected too.

Wow... somebody got their panties in a wad! Must have hit a nerve. 4th & inches... always coming up a little short? You’re probably waiting for the next free phone or stimulus check that you’re owed?
If you don’t believe the liberals are pumping this narrative, then you’re an idiot! I have a friend that had COVID-19. He had 8 test in all. 7 positive test that were counted each time as new cases. They will keep the fear mongering going as long as possible.

I agree. But that is not what OP said. He said academic budgets are gonna suffer due to no sports

Academic budgets will suffer - but as a result of fewer students who maybe opt out and take time off because classes are remote. Not because of sports

we all take for granted the situation we have at Clemson in regards to the academic/athletic partnership. It is that way at very few places

So you really believe that athletics, especially football, has no impact on the academic budget?

I don't think you know what terrorist means. So the socialization of say healthcare, or working toward less racism or targeting of the minorities by the majority is worse than the corporate welfare, reduction of working benefits to increase profits, reduction of environmental protections to again pad the pockets of a few, and widening caste system as we move toward fascism? I don't know.....

I don't think you know what fascism means.

NAZI=National SOCIALIST German Workers' Party.

Also, I don't think you will find anyone who is not in favor of reducing racism.

Also where is anyone favoring reduction of workers benefits ? That would be news to me.

A caste system prevents class movement based on birth.... That is no where near present in the USA.

yes. It is easy to find the info.

As I have repeatedly said - athletic departments across the nation are a negative on the balance sheet. They drain resources from the entire school budget. That info is made available all the time.

That is why schools have already begun to cut sports

Yes, football funds most athletic departments to some extent. Football doesn’t fund the academic side. It is actually the opposite. Money goes from academic side to athletic side at VAST majority of schools.

So at MOST not all universities this is true on paper. There is the intangible aspect where football provides the majority of marketing for universities and isn't calculated . Not that it can be calculated, but when you include that viewpoint football is definitely net positive for university budgets.

This is directly evident to the percent increase in applications after the 2016 natty.

Lmao, you're so confused. No one is "afraid" of the "Liberal Boogeyman". We "despise" the Far Left morons and their platform.

If you think most of the power 5 schools don’t benefit budget-wise from football, then I can’t help you. Just simply taking the value of individual scholarships would add to an academic budget.
