For some reason I picture the following:

Schiano - wine guy. Picture him as a big red wine-o.

Flood- definitely a light beer type of guy. Probably loved Coors Light....dork.

Ash- definitely a scotch or whiskey guy, yet can pound beers like the rest of them. Hands down the coolest guy to drink with too btw.

Schiano drinks Peroni beer, chilled exactly to 47 degrees.

Flood drinks Budweiser; because he thinks that what college football coaches probably drink

Ash is too intense to drink but has a can of pop on his shelf that he'll treat himself to when he beats OSU.

A little off topic, but Purdue fan here probably making the trip Monday for the basketball game. What is the coolest bar around campus (google made it look like the Olde Queens Tavern?)? What place has the best food? Thanks in advance.

A: Like the handle

B: Welcome and enjoy your time in New Brunswick

Back to your question. I'm am not real qualified has my Brunswick bar hopping days are long past. But Olde Queens would not be my choice unless you really wanted to hang with college aged kids. Not that there anything wrong with that.

Wait, there is, if you are as old as I am.

My recommendation for fun beer centric would be Harvest Moon brew pub.

If cocktails are your thing and have a budget and don't need the TVs and sports pub vibe is the bar at Catherine Lombardi. One of Food & Wine's top 100 cocktail bars in the country.

Stuff Your Face is not a bad recommendation. It is an authentic campus hang out, but less a bar than a food place with adult beverages.

I guess we shouldn't be surprised they make corn whiskey in Iowa?

If anything Ash seems like a Coors/Bud Light kind of guy to me. I dont get Iowa as being a big whiskey pounding state. Flood to me seems like an abstainer altogether. Schiano definitely wine in the beginning, then fancy bourbon as he got rich.

My buddy has run the Stress Factory for years. He said GS and wife would come by from time to time. Always the same:
wife - wine
GS - club soda

He got the impression that GS didn't drink at all.

Flood imagines drinking a James Bond martini, "shaken, not stirred"

.... but what always arrives at his table is mostly sweet & fruity & has a little umbrella in it ...

Other good advice for you already in this thread, but if you want the college campus feel, go to Stuff Yer Face. On another note, skip the game. You'll win, trust us.

Based on the energy this staff has shown so far I'm going to guess whatever they drink it's accompanied by a large Red Bull chaser.

Cool, thanks for the suggestions guys. I want the college campus feel, but not necessarily hanging with college kids (in mid 20's), so Stuff Yer Face sounds right. I'm excited to see campus as this will be 13/14 BIG schools off the list- still need to make it to Nebraska. Would rather it be a football game, but were so bad currently that tailgates are the only reason for that trip.

Based on his reputation and what his wife stated I would definitely say he's an energy drink guy.
