Probably goin to the highest bidder now which clearly states he doesn't give a 17 about playing baseball for the defending national champs in. I'm just guessing, but I bet it has to do with the NIL ********. I thought baseball was his preferred sport but that he wants to play both.

Not missing anything, unless you believe commitments mean anything.

A commitment is just another step to get free attention, especially when you are narrowing it down to your top 3 after the fact. Can't count on anything until the ink is dry on signing day, and even then, we now have to take it 1 year at a time. Modern CFB recruiting must be a nightmare for most coaches.

I remember looking him up on Perfect Game a while back. He is going to be 20 years old when he gets on Campus. With the new draft date in July if the rule is the same (turn 21 within 3 months of the draft,) he might be a draft eligible true freshman. As of today PG has him listed at 18 years and 10 months... A rising high school Junior. He sure as hell should be more physically developed than all the other kids. My goodness, I was a full 2 years younger than him the summer after my Junior year. I mean, with a hardship license back in the day he could drive to school in 6th grade.

Anyway... Not blaming him, but I always hated that ****. High school athletics should have age limits. 20 year olds and 14 year olds should not be on the same team. Maybe there is a reason, but I know of a few people that held kids back early for no other reason than to give them an advantage athletically or academically.
