Zack was originally recruited to play QB in a offense similar to Scott Frost's...right? A dual threat type QB. I believe Urban Meyer recruited Darlington. So perhaps Zack will become a potential QB prospect with Frost. I think the kid is a gamer. We shall see. Exciting stuff.

When he was pressed in to game action, he really didn't do well throwing the ball. He did look good in a spring game but I think his arm is suspect. We'll see. POB is not getting enough credit IMO for his mobility and the walk on Bunch kid has some really good wheels and a decent arm. Gebbia is the schnizzle though. He could shine in Frost's offense.
Hmmm, I wonder if Tanner Lee could learn to use his feet and legs a little more. A pure pocket passer like Lee to drop back to throw a pass and then suddenly taking off and run can break down a defense in a hurry. Lee has the whole off-season to work on his running game. If Tanner could become just enough of a running threat to defenses honest, oh the possibilities.
Jerry Tagge ran our option very well. He wasn't a threat to go 80 but he could regularly get you 5-10 by running over linebackers. Lee could run zone read and I screamed at the TV virtually every game for him to keep the dang ball on some of those zone hand offs. It was there because teams didn't account for him. They didn't have to. It could have helped our running game immensely.
I truly think Lee does not want to run the ball even when it was open he threw it
Darlington should have been given a medical scholly. He's taking up a spot and really hasn't done much other than hold a football for the kicker.

Frost doesn’t use his QB’s in the run game as much as is perceived. At Oregon and at UCF, Frost QB’s averaged just 6 to 8 rushes per game and about half of those were QB scrambles and not called read option keepers or QB sneaks. Even 6’4” 225 pounds Mariota only averaged 8 rushes per game and some of those were QB scrambles, not called QB runs.
• UCF running backs and receivers are averaging a combined 31 carries per game vs. only 8 carries per game for his starting & back up QB combined, so Frost QB’s are accounting for only 20% of UCF’s carries.
• UCF’s starting QB is only 5’11” 170 pounds. He was a dual threat QB in high school however because he is so small and he is such a great passer and Frost has a fleet of great runnings backs, QB runs plays are a distant 3rd option in Frost’s offense after passing the ball and running with his RB’s and WR’s.

Aside from his concussion history and the fact that one may not have total confidence in his arm, he has been practicing at WR--not QB--for the last two years. I think you're much, MUCH better off trying to transition the current QBs on the roster and/or getting someone new. At least these people would have been throwing the ball everyday in practice for the past two years.
Zack is an effort guy and I loved watching him in high school but his body was done a long time ago.

My guess is Lee is a grad transfer to Michigan. Frost signs a juco qb and he starts for us day 1.
Lee to Michigan would be cool. Give me a reason to watch their games. I’m a little worried he’d beat us, though! I like the guy and wish him the best.
i must have missed the presser announcing Scott Frost as our new head coach. you guys have already got the starting qb for next year along with the new coach, i'm surprised nobody has talked about his assistants, when was that presser anyways announcing this hire.
NU ran some option with Tagge. I remember him having a big run against OU on an option keeper.
