I'm assuming the OP was trying to argue that Schiano wasn't the defensive mastermind that many on this board proclaim.

Reading the posts on this board regarding Schiano, one would think that Schiano is going to help Meyer get every prized recruit in NJ and develop an impervious defense leading OSU to multiple national championships.

IMO, Schiano was/is a good recruiter. I don't think we'll see a dramatic uptick in OSU's recruiting because of GS. Perhaps 1 or 2 more NJ elite over the course of a recruiting cycle. He had some very good defensive games - but had some questionable ones as well. Obviously Meyer doesn't hire dummies, but I don't think that this will have any noticeable impact on RU's fortunes.

To state the obvious, Ash has to assemble a staff that can compete with the best in the nation. That and that alone will determine our success.

Well, to be fair, your post was somewhat ambiguous w/respect to who the head coach was for all those scores. You said that it was with Schiano recruiting classes which means many of those scores could've been coached by Flood. Which calls into question if recruiting or coaching was the problem in those games.

Might have been helpful to post the year's of those results.

This is true. No getting around that both Schoano and Flood had some very rough losses. You also forgot the Navy game. A lot of our fans wanted Greg fired too. That's life. I think the off field issues did Flood in more than anything. I am not a guy that is always looking to fire our HC. I call that the Queen of Hearts syndrome. But now that he is gone I am 100% behind Ash and am excited to see what he can do here. We have a lot of guys returning. If they all work a little harder and execute on the field a few more wins is very possible.

2-15 over the last three seasons against teams that finished with winning records, with the two coming last season against Navy (8-5) and Maryland (7-6).

This is the weakest attempt I have ever seen to justify the tenure of the worst coach we have ever seen at Rutgers. He is gone, his predecessor is also gone and frankly, Flood pales by comparison. Are there any big wins you can point to? Yay, we blew out Norfolk State? The ***** barely beat Temple. Where are the 40+ point losses on your list? They're all over mine.

Two of those scores was after Eric Legrand was injured and team fell apart.
