What 7A Has A New Look. Per HSOT

This is not an annual thing at any specific school. Elkin and East Wilkes and Starmount exchange players occasionally. It is an occasional thing if it happens in Surry and other counties. Forsyth Co. is an annual thing. It started a 1A school doing it, WSPREP and Bishop would not have a team if they couldn't do it.

Just a reminder, Bishop is not part of WSFCS schools. And they both would have teams. Funny how you mention all those other schools, but not Mt. Airy. But I forgot, it’s only occasional. That makes it OK.

I can speak up for the Surry county schools. Within the school system of the county a player can transfer to any school and they release them. Mount airy and Elkin don't do that. And they do allow people to come into district but they do have to pay. But not as much as what the state gives the school system per pupil. I think the moderator's on here should be a little more unbiased. I didn't see Deanna saying funny you say things about starmount but not Mount airy. Fact is Winston-Salem is a joke. Wasn't so long ago that Glenn was a powerhouse. Now all those kids are going to East Forsyth. Reagan and West or constantly in a battle for players quality ones anyway. I don't think it's good for anybody to transfer. You should play in your system. And in your school. However there are some things that certain systems offer that certain ones don't or certain schools offer that certain ones don't.

I agree with everything you say. It’s just seems as some act as if they always win with homegrown talent. As I said yesterday East Forsyth has not done all their winning with Kernersville kids only. All I am saying is every system has transfers, whether you pay or don’t pay.

I am old school, I hate all the transfers, anywhere.

BK, when you say “transfer”, are you including the kid who moves along with his or her family into a school district? That’s different than attending one school while living in another school’s district.

Change of residency and non residency transfer. Two different items. If a family moves into a district their children are allowed to participate in athletics per residency requirement.
