I have been out of the loop the last month or so. Now that we know McDaniel’s is going to Washington, what’s next for the staff. Best case/worst case scenario? Are we really in play for the VT kid or is a reclass more likely? I’ve been out of the country and just got back. Trying to catch up.

We'll know next week what EJ and Nick are going to do.

If they're back, I imagine the roster is set. If either or both leave, Cal probably pushes for a reclass (though it's getting late in the game for that and our best options to do so have said they're staying put).

Cal needs to go back to RJ and tell him we will be playing small ball next year and starting at least 3 guards. Reconsider as of right now there are only 8 guys on the roster and 1 of them is Allen who is up in the air healthwise. So, 7 guys, we know that will be ready. There is any top team more shorthanded then us. Juzang is more like a wing so RJ could start with Ashton and Maxey. I mean we have 7 guys, 8 if Allen can go out of 13 possible. Time to shake every tree and kick every rock. We have seen what injuries and foul trouble has done to us the past few years. It's a longshot, but we need bodies right now and I always felt like he wanted to come here. If he really is still considering Memphis who is more crowded than us then why not take one more run at him?

I know, just thinking we need bodies. Who wants to enter next year with 9 guys again? We don't know if Allen will be ready or how he will be right after recovery. So that leaves us with 7 guys right now. That to me is scary enough to get desperate.

If Kentucky only has EJ, NR , and Sestina going in to next year, It won't be good.

I’d take that in a New York minute next year and be thrilled, as it appears EJ will likely stay in the draft. Not sure what you’re smoking.
