Hope you can sleep good. Sounds like toeing the line…I worked 48 consecutive hours, on one occasion ( Without any sleep and over 65 at the time).

After Someone finally came in to relieve me, I wasn’t able to sleep. Didn’t even respond to Demerol, so I made myself read Das Kapital, and it bored me so - - - - - - ‘ badly I slept for 48 hours… :)

Lol my wife claims I have a touch of narcolepsy. I can fall asleep any where anytime. Even after drinking an energy drink

I don’t know about those drinks, AMD, I never seen them. Anyway, if you run into problems sleeping let me know. Could recommend some good/or maybe bad reading that will take care of it.:)

Just for fun, anyone got favorite teams of interest in the area outside of your alma mater school? Like you’d pull for Freedom or South Point or someone like that during playoff runs and they’re not playing against your team or in same A bracket

My dad’s 1st cousin was Hal Queen. QB in the 60s with a fantastic season or 2 and he went on to play for App. I don’t typically pull for em at times but am all on board when they get in deep playoffs

my adopted teams outside of EB is NL, Freedom, and Watauga all from family ties. I should like Cherryville cause my late great uncle was a hall of fame basketball coach there.

OMB, Hal Queen was the QB of the team that I had a relative on. This 1966 Hickory team went undefeated to win the WNCHSAA title.

H Queen was a smart QB who made very few mistakes; course The Hickory coach at that time wasn’t very tolerant with mistakes.
Hickory poster Cheerduck knows/knew a lot of those guys.

Yes Sir! One of the best teams in HHS history. It was the first fully integrated teams at HHS. Hal Queen was an awesome QB and led the team to an udefeated season in the WNCHSAA.

I’m taking St Stephens. Ole Bandys slung the ball all over the place last week..20 attempts…good grief!…and Stephens hung with them though. The Bears had everything go right last week in their win over Draughn . Heck it was 30 sump’em nuttin’ after the 1st quarter. The Bears ran the opening kickoff back, then ran a punt back, then a pick 6! Have mercy! It just snowballed from there. I do believe this will be good game…it’s a rivalry game. We’ll see…but I’m sticking with Indians.

Ole 8a Providence has all their skill players back. Hmmm! They lost some on defense though. They’re at home too. Hmmm! 😂 I took Providence last year and got my butt handed to me. Sooo…I’m taking East Lincoln. Imma stick with Dollar, Beam and Duhlupo. Go Mustangs! 🫵

I’ll take Foard…don’t forget they won a playoff game last year. I was there and was very impressed with the going’s on over in Vale. Go Tigers.

Hickory?…y’all had ‘em last week! 😂Duck! Don’t feel bad…my Blue Devils had ‘em right where we wanted ‘em too with 5 1/2 minutes to go. 😂 Reminds me of the huge brown trout I hooked up at 3 tops (for the city slicker from the metropolis of Dirty Ankle….3 tops is in Todd, NC). I had him!!…til he leapt 5 feet out of the water and shook his head and slung my rooster tail back at me. Daggum wall hanger!…that trout just laughed at me and swam away. Ole well! I’ll take Hickory.

I’ll take Newton over Polk. This just might be a good game. We’ll see.

I’ll take the Wolves in a closer game than most think. It is a rivalry game and the Knights will be fired up. You can count on that.

I’ll take West Iredell in a romp. North Iredell lost to Wilkes Central 63-0. Do what?

Loving the energy in the analyses.

My take on a couple piciks, East Burke has a QB that can throw and move and is only a soph. Expecting EB to have more of their stuff together after a hard loss to a team that COULD upset the conference and take the title. I could be dead wrong lol. Closer Foard game than one would think but as anything we dont play games on paper although alot of all our picks will be what we expect.

Not to be downing NL at all, I'm not I just dont feel like that could be a close game but I would expect a hard fight for a couple quarters. Maybe it was because of all the flags but they didnt make huge huge gains on plays against WL other than 3 great long bombs down the field. I'll give WL toughness on D up front that may be competitive against short up the middle runs though against teams like Lincolnton and Shelby in such. We'll see bout that too but North COULD make it a close game if Agee is in and playing and/or they stay on the blocks and RB hit the lanes fast.

North Iredell good grief you bout have to try to lose to get scored on 63 zip on Wilkes Central. Although WC aint too bad alot of years and usually have some athletes.
