Historically heritage has been much better against run teams than passing, which sounds like WL. 35-7 by third and WL scores in garbage time in the fourth 35-14. Personally wouldn’t put to much emphasis on “if it’s not a running clock they don’t stand a chance against Shelby and Lincolnton” MH implementing more RPO makes them more versatile than in years past, and MH is a tough place to play at, especially when it starts getting 20-30 degrees. If anything hurts heritage in playoffs it’ll be special teams.

I didn’t say they don’t stand a chance. I said it’s not a good look. 3 teams in our conference had a running clock on WL.
The 16th best team in 3A west shouldn’t be in the game with the No.1 seed.

Interesting 2nd round match up, West seems very solid for a 5-5 team, I'm gonna go with Heritage by 3-4.

I agree, I dont think that heritage needs to nessacerly have a running clock even thought it's possible, very possible. I just want to see us stay healthy and if that means putting some second string in the 3rd qaurter then so be it. Coach pope will have his boys ready tonight I have no doubt. Hoping for safe trips for west lincoln and a good crowd tonight.

I agree Mountain Heritage has had some issues covering but they are much better this year

Good call. The kicking game has been really meh this year. Not being able to remotely attempt a FG and literally being about 20/80 on extra points is less than ideal.

For as long as I can remember heritage never has had a good kicker, maybe 1-2 in a 10-15 year span lol. Kick off or field goal.

This is an extremely talented Heritage team with a do it all player in Cason Jones, really smart and athletic qb and as always physical up front. They are dealing with some injuries to key players, that could keep this game closer than if played couple of weeks ago

If Mt. Heritage doesn’t have a running clock on WL. I wouldn’t expect a deep run in the playoffs.
Shelby, Lincolnton, Burns had running clocks.
That’s with WL literally snapping the ball with Less than .05 on the play clock. It’s LITERALLY like every play. Sometimes with .01
They get in no hurry.

Running clock in the third. Score is 46 to 6 and a lot of secondary are in for Heritage like I thought!!
