Unfortunately, that 's on a list from our own DMV of colleges' specialty license plates.

NJIT is first, followed by ND and PSU,then us and Seton Hall.Stevens and Temple are next, then our buddies at Micheeegan, with Christie's Delaware bringing up the rear.

If our conference mates out West read this, they should have a better understanding of what we are up against locally, possibly being the only state university whose plates aren't numero uno for that state.

I guess we should have been suspicious with the Highlanders having the most plates. You think?

The most I see on the roads are:

1. Devils
2. Giants
3. RU
4. Jets
5. Yankees
6. Mets

I haven't see any others yet.

I'm talking about the NJ plates with the team logos on them in color.

I have one
I've got one too. But mine is hanging in my den since I've been living on Staten Island for
almost 20 years now. I do have a number of Block R's on my cars and If you count them
it would blow away PSU & ND people in NJ with their specialty plates.

But why is U of D after U of M? And, BTW, I think he may have meant that Delaware was the first state in the union, which is not only true but on their license plates.
Have no clue but the rest are in alphabetical order. I guess the DMV hasn't perfected alphabatizing things.

I think the reason for this is that you need to go thru the Alumni Association of that University to get the plate. and a portion of the cost goes to the university's general fund
