"I actually played ball and was an all district and all region player".......said everyone on here.

we wouldnt know how you played because there was no tv back in those days. i'm sure everything was amazing though.....
I've got the newspaper clippings at my parents house, was all city and county too. Just like I proved someone wrong in my nearly dying thread I'll prove you wrong. Will you be man enough to apologize? And I didn't even get to play my senior year because I tore my ACL/MCL in the high school football playoffs.

I'll go ahead and break out my first team all state, again all region, city and district and county award clippings for football as a corner as well. I can produce scholarship offers from mostly small schools but Appalachian State was the biggest as well. But 9/11 happened my senior year and it felt like our generations Pearl Harbor so I enlisted in the Army and served for 8 years with two deployments to Iraq and one to Afghanistan. Expect pictures of all of this, I don't need to lie to look cool. Don't go AI excuse when I do as I've literally never used AI to my knowledge.

And way to address my points. Also I don't see anyone claiming these things but you'll see. Just give me a couple days.

Generational insults aside, the games in the 80s and 90s were more rough. 80s even more so. That said, the game is a better quality today and players are better protected. Although I liked the hard-nosed style of the 80s, I prefer today’s product for its free flowing and precise nature.

Night in and night out the game was alot rougher back then.
That being said I don't know if I have ever seen a rougher series, especially with no calls, than this one

I’ve seen more defensive holding on both teams in this series than I see offensive holding in any football game I’ll watch.

I am a neutral observer, but the Spurs seem to play a little dirty (lots of low key shoves/pushes/hacks to the back and lower body) and the Thunder were the biggest floppers I’ve ever seen and sadly SGA is the floppingest flopper in the game today.
Be careful I got labeled racist for daring to criticize the Holy MVP.

At this point he is. I was a big fan of him until the Thunder series. Once they got down in the series they started playing dirty as hell and they’ve done it again this series. Wemby will eventually get popped doing this crap. Also that Bryant guy is nothing but the Spurs goon. He basically never plays and the few times he does he’s been called for flagrant fouls for running full speed into Shai and Brunson.

I’ve always hated all NYC teams but I can’t wait for the Spurs to lose. Which pains me to say since I love Fox.

Somewhere former NBA players like Charles Oakley, Anthony Mason, Bill Laimbeer, etc are laughing their @$$ off.

The playoffs in general have been weird. Feels like the league has been selling for the Spurs and Wemby.

SGA got one of the most generous whistles i’ve seen since Jordan during the regular season and then the near polar opposite in the playoffs. Couldn’t believe what the Lakers were getting away with against him. And then it got even worse in the Spurs series. That Thunder/Spurs series turned into no holds barred. They basically took out Jalen Williams on a blatantly dirty play and it didn’t even get called a foul. Williams reinjured his hamstring when Castle two hand shoved him into the basket support at full speed after the ball had already went through the hoop. Williams came up lame trying to slow himself down and never came back.

How do you not review that?

Then Bryant not getting a flagrant for shoulder tackling SGA on back to back plays was nuts. Even in the NFL he would have been ejected and suspended for targeting. And they’re wearing pads on a grass playing field.

Vessel shoving and screaming in Chet’s face…you’re just watching it in disbelief thinking “the league is really selling for this Spurs team”

Guess Silver felt like he needed Wemby in the finals. I’ve only watched highlights since.

I watch sports to see a legit competition. This years playoffs has been more WWE than NBA.

And this spurs team is about as unlikeable as it gets. They’ve complained about the officiating after nearly every loss when they’ve by and large gotten away with more than any team that made it. Just really hard to watch.
