I was thinking about who on a football field would be at risk.... Refs jumped out and maybe a few coaches... But those damn chain gang guys are gonna have to sit this season out. I have never seen one a day under 70. Need some student volunteers.
It’s pretty much a given that every football team whether high school, college, or pro is likely to have anywhere from 2 to 10 cases of the virus at any given time from now until the virus has either played its way out or broadly used vaccine is developed. The impact that will have on the actual playing of sports will likely depend solely on the players, coaches, and organization’s (high schools, colleges, owners, leagues) realization that for foreseeable future that this virus is just something that we are going to hafta learn to live with. Most of these young men only have a finite window of which to play sports and can’t spend some of the best years of their lives holed up in a bunker until there are no more risks or else they’ll never be allowed to come out.
A vaccine could be years away. Are we all going to sit in plastic bubbles until then? Or are we going to live our lives, while of course being cautious and making smart decisions about our own health and hygiene?

Totally agree with you're statements, only problem is people aren't being cautious or making smart decisions which is why numbers of younger adults testing positive are spiking, which could lead to the death rates increasing. Just came back from Orange Beach and I'd say the majority of people could care less about wearing a mask or social distancing. Only area of social distancing was on the beach, as beach chairs were approximately 6' feet apart. Other then that zero concern.
Most of us or a great percentage of us on this board would probably either test positive for the antibodies or Covid....The media storm over this has made every insignificant positive result a big deal, when it isn't. ***I'm not a doctor and this is my opinion, and yes I know for the very, very limited few that it can be very bad.

NASCAR hasn't allow fans in the stands yet. PGA isn't allowing fans until July (which we shall see). MiLB isn't playing. NBA has a few teams playing in a bubble and no fans.
We shall see what MLB and NFL does. MLB punted to the local ordinances. However in this political environment, I don't see the NCAA or sec giving the green light to full schedules and full stadiums. These guys are student volunteers that provide entertainment.
Schools are acting like we are going to play to get players to campus just in case a few are played. 2. Get your money. 3. Keep up moral.
