I understand he must be an amazing talent but not sure he needs to be on the team. He very possibly would be one of those players that just doesn't give it his all for fear of injury. Really rather have a talented player with something to prove. Just my 2 cents worth.

Sharpe goes pro and instead of taking it on the chin, the program will blame the fans saying that Sharpe was ready to honor his agreement, but the fans constant barrage on social media and their attacks on Calipari made Sharpe determine that it was best he went pro. It was a "toxic" environment for him to return to Kentucky.
And the benefit of doing this is it creates a "look what you guys did by attacking Cal and a player, you cost us a #1 talent, don't you people ever criticize Cal again! You have hurt our program"

Yeah maybe, but I’m saying the downside isn’t as far down as it used to be, and there is potential upside to being in next year’s draft as well.
Also, how much money are we talking for a guy like Sharpe in NIL? Say, best case, he’s John Wall/Anthony Davis good right off the bat in college. Any chance national brands (Nike/Gatorade, etc.) go ahead and lock a guy like that up during college? Maybe RBC or Tim Horton’s?
It's all playing out just like we thought. Sharpe delays the decision for weeks after the season ends, announces he's "testing the waters" without signing an agent to keep the narrative alive that a return is possible, then declares officially the week (or day) before the draft deadline because the feedback he received was just too good to pass up and Calipari can't blame him for leaving because it was in the best interest of the kid.
Yeah probably that's how it will go but fans know the truth and I'd say most will say that if UK or a media outlet starts that narrative,they can kiss our ***.
