Evidently, Lane payed fine to SEC office in pennies. 2.5 million of them. Now fans (not just from ole miss) are sending pennies to SEC office to help pay for eye appointments for officials.

Doesn’t he know

There is a coin shortage? Seriously, I’d be curious to know the logistics of pulling this off.

IF someone had the pennies and had a way to deliver them the SEC office could promptly refuse. LK is taking up for his team. Good for him.

If Kiffin was half as clever as he thinks he is he would have known OTM TSLA calls are the 2020 equivalent of a pickup load of pennies.

That was the third tweet. He went with 25k and 250k before he realized how many pennies it took to get to $25k.

He could have called time out? Still need another angle to say for sure it hit the guy. Do I think it did. Sure. But doubt anyone turns that call over on one angle.

That was the funniest part to me. He played it off well with the “upon further review, it’s actually 2.5M pennies” and tagged the SEC.

His Twitter personality is wildly different than is in person personality. He gives zero ***** on Twitter, but is pretty quiet and soft spoken. It’s one of the few times I’ve seen pretty much every SEC fan base laugh at and embrace something, so that’s cool.

I will take 2.5 million in pennies pressed from 1982 and older. I will take any 1944 pennies if you have them. I might get lucky with one of them.

This reminded me of a skit on Upright Citizens Brigade called "*** pennies".

He’s a missed XP away from 0-5, but if he keeps doing stuff like this, having the money bag on the sideline, and wearing funny shirts, the media and fans up there will continue to bark and clap like seals.

Or did he really think (initially) that 25,000 pennies was $25K?

And is it even him that runs his Twitter acct.? Or does someone do that for him?

I can’t answer the last part. I’m assuming it’s him, because it’s too bold to be an assistant or anyone, to be doing it under his name.

On the 25K pennies, I suppose math isn’t his strong suit. That might explain some of the clock management.

He’s a couple weird things away from being 3-2, too. That cuts both ways. He inherited a mess, and there’s no doubt the product has improved.

It’s no difference than State fans loving some of Leach’s stuff (and rightfully so), but it only works if you feel like you’re improving a little bit, at least.

You know, what’s forgot about in his poor little ole miss had the refs take the game from them is auburn would have the same excuse if they lost the game. Their kickoff return td was called back due to a phantom block in the back which really didn’t help the run anyway.

Ole Miss didn’t lose because of that play, although it was a major factor. And Kiffin has never claimed they did. We had a terrible fake FG attempt (that’s on him), we had at least 3 CRUCIAL drops, any of which probably result in points on that drive. We were entirely too predictable on the next to last drive where we were trying to put the game away. And he grossly mismanaged the clock/timeouts on our final drive.

With all that said, that was a clear touchdown for Ole Miss that puts them up 34-27 with XP pending. And it was mishandled so poorly by the officials that they wouldn’t review it, because they knew it was indefensible. So, they went into full on CYA mode. Kiffin implied that he called them out on that during his call with the SEC, and basically said that he was muzzled. That pissed him off, so him being the smart *** that he is, right or wrong (Leach is similar) he just kept poking at it. Then they fined him, because they’re bitches, and that made him double down.

This isn’t an Ole Miss won or lost issue. We lost, so y’all can celebrate it. I would if it was flipped. But, him calling out their hypocrisy is something we should all be thankful for, because it’s MSU and Ole Miss who wind up on the wrong end of that ******** way more often than not.

Frankly, I admire Kiffin for calling them out publicly. More coaches, ADs and university Presidents have to step up if this ******** is ever going to stop.
