It was a much better season than I had expected though. Hopefully they don't get down for these last two home games, going to need to be hitting on all cylinders.

This will go down as the weekend that both Nebraska schools worked there way out of the NCAA tournament with losses to bad teams.

When Huskers went up 5 in the second they had lots of opportunities to really pull away and just couldn’t. Felt like a 7 or 8 point lead on them would have made them give in a little. Stupid shot selection at the end. Especially on Watson... Well NIT bound it is. Does the NIT committee pair NU va Creighton first round? Not like I give a sh*t. NIT is boring as hell. No one really cares about it

Yeah, I thought a loss to an inspired and on- fire Illini team was possible. Really thought we were above laying the egg we did today. So disappointing to hand the game over with crappy play. Gonna take 3 more wins, for sure, now.

I still do not understand the infatuation with being the 60th best team in a 64 team tournament. We would play a 1:30 game, most of us would miss it at work, and of course we will lose by double digits. We should desire to have a great team that can go deep in the tournament, but nit picking about being #60 or going NIT is pointless. We are a slightly above average team with no chance to go deep...Now if we get hot and win the big 10 tourney that is a big deal...

People seem to have already written us off for the tournament. I knew a couple weeks ago this would be tough as any game left on the schedule despite Illinois record. A Penn St upset at Purdue tonight could really help. So if we win the next 2 and beat a likely Michigan team in Big ten tourney I think we get in.

Yep and Penn State is looking pretty good tonight. It will take the effort we gave against Michigan to win this game. This team is bizarre.

Hate to say it, but I don't see us beating both of the next two, even at home. Especially PSU at this point. Hope I'm wrong.

I think 24 total wins gets us to Dayton. Win the next 2 and 2 in the B1G tourney and I feel pretty good. 23 total wins = #1 or #2 seed in the NIT. Which can still be some great experience for this squad and I would cheer like hell.

I always thought that next year would be the year they make a run at the NCAA's and they should. Especially if Miles can convince a talented grad transfer PF and/or C to come play with this squad next year.

If everyone comes back next year I would bet this team starts the preseason just outside the Top 25 (getting into the others receiving votes category).

I don't believe the Huskers need to win 2 games in the Big Ten tourney. But before the Illinois game I felt like they could finish 23-8, and still get in even with a loss in the first Big Ten tourney game. IMO, at 22-9, they will need to win a game in NY now. But they won't need to win 2.

Depends on who the opponent for the first game is. If Nebraska has the 4 seed and the 5 seed is upset in the quarters, they will need that second win. IMHO
