It all comes down to this:

You get OU at home followed by a bad ISU team on the road then an average Baylor team at home.
Win out and you're alive if you don't it's been a good year.
Question is if you win out are you in the CFP and if OU does are they in?
Or will the B12 be shut out again like the first year?
Thoughts?

If we win out, we have a chance but we need help. Washington would have to lose, (which they will), Michigan needs to beat Ohio State (which will not happen) and Louisville needs to lose a game. No way OU gets in. They would take Ohio State even with two loses over OU. If we win out and don't get in, we get a winnable game in the Sugar against Florida. If we are the 4 seed, we get a cold camp *** whooping by Alabama.

WVU has to win out and get help. Oklahoma beating OSU in Norman. It could happen just like Oklahoma winning again in Morgantown, Howard turning an ankle and dropping their final 2 games to finish 8-4.

IF ...... If WVU wins the Big 12, it will more than likely finish 6-7-8 in the CFP ranking.
#1 Alabama can drop a game and still get in.
#2 Clemson should own the tie breaker and if they win out, win the ACC title game, should get back in.
The #3 winner of the OSU-Michigan game will get in.

#4 The final spot will come from the following:
(Not in any order of finish)
Oklahoma if they win the BIG 12
Louisville if they win out for 11-1 record
Washington wins PAC and is 12-1
Michigan or Ohio State at 10-2
Then West Virginia at 11-1

I don't think Wisconsin or any other PAC schools will be any higher. All the strong PAC schools (Oregon, Stanford, UCLA & USC were all ranked but fell on their faces during the season. USC beat Washington ONLY)

WV would need a lot of help to get in, but there's still a ton of football yet to be played. Right now, one would have to believe the Pac 12 and Big 12 are currently on the outside looking in. If Oklahoma wins the Big 12, then I don't believe anyone from that conference will get in. WV is probably the only team in that conference that has a chance of getting in. I do think WV beats Oklahoma though, so they have a shot at going 11-1, but without a lot of help, it will be tough to leap frog a bunch of teams.

Alabama will get in, assuming they don't free fall against Auburn and the SEC title game.
Ohio State is in the cat bird's seat as well, as they simply need to beat MSU on the road, and Michigan at home. OSU might even get in, despite not winning the Big 10 East, as PSU holds the tie-breaker currently. Michigan will obviously get in if they win out, including winning the conference title game. Michigan losing to Iowa pretty much closed the door on the Big 10 getting two teams into the final four.
Clemson and/or Louisville will get in, assuming they win out. Potentially, both of them could get in.

Currently, I see those (5) teams as the contenders for the 4 spots. With that said, there's still a lot of games yet to be played. Anything can happen, and usually does.

They've been looking for a reason to keep the BIG XII out since the beginning of the season.

About the only case we have is against Washington. If we both win out, we would both be 1 loss teams with comparable losses, but we will have a top 10 win that they don't have, and they had the 128th ranked OOC schedule.

Another WhiteFail. Oklahoma was a prohibitive favorite to win the Big 12, and when it got boat raced by both Houston and Ohio State to begin the season, the Big 12's reputation took a serious hit. Add to that the lack of big OOC wins by other Big 12 schools, and you're left outside looking in, and it has nothing to do with a conspiracy, as you foolishly suggest.

I didn't say it was a conspiracy you f'n idiot. Everything else you are right about why they have been looking to keep the Big XII out. However, now that the notion has been ingrained in everybody from the very beginning ... "does the Big XII deserve a team in the playoffs" "no" ... WVU won't get an honest and unbiased look.

As I said, the only team we'd have an argument against is Washington and not many seem to be thinking twice about them even though their schedule is weaker than anybody that's going to win the Big XII, and whoever wins the Big XII is going to have a win over a top 10 team that Washington doesn't have. But the narrative has been that the Big XII doesn't deserve a team in and that narrative will remain even though we would deserve it over Washington.

Wasn't Oklahoma ranked in the Top 4 prior to the season? There's no conspiracy, dumba$$. Oklahoma **** the bed to start the season, and none of its conference mates beat a big-time OOC opponent. Oklahoma State's win over Pitt might be the Big 12's best OOC win.
